LUL Back in the real world of sane thinkers - Who gives a crap if someone games more than the other. We all share a similar passion so we shouldn't have a stupid pointless competition about it. I love games, I play games, I MAKE games <3 I live them and breathe them. And I enjoy the company of other people who do the same kind of stuff, as should we all instead of comparing people. Nuff said.

And all the postings about physical attraction stuff is pretty sickening and crazy. Plus its different strokes for different folks. Whats hawt to you isnt going to be hawt to someone else. ( And I'm one of those strange cases where I think "ugly people" <- by majority opinion, are pretty attractive, or so I'm told. I won't change my tastes though. ) Fact of life. But anyone's a dang fool who pursues a relationship with someone based on physical attraction ONLY. If you do that, you're pretty much setting yourself up for disappointment. Because beauty fades and dumb/intolerant/arsehole/etc. (or any negative personality trait that clashes with your list of "this is the type of person I imagine myself with") is forever.

Also, I could care less if someone has 5, 10, 37, 1007 toys (though i do wish I could find the very specific Skylanders that i do want - I don't give a rat's behind about getting them all). I might be outnumbered in that mindset though xD since well, this is a Skylanders collection forum.

I just got the GameStop orders of camo and warnado. I have completed my quest. I even did overnight shipping on this one last order so I could just relax one day sooner. I will miss the hunt and especially the waiting in line at events, as I meet some really nice people, and I will miss the joy of hearing "my kid really is looking for x character and did I know where to get one" " sure have an extra in my car, find me latter and you can have it". "how much?". "free to kids who enjoy the game". This happened a few times and I was glad I carried the spares.

Got my Camo/Warnado/Ignitor three pack in yesterday! 37/37!

Finally! All I can say is, "Eat dirt Amazon!" My Whammy's from GS arrived and I cancelled my Amazon pre-order at last. I am now rightfully 37up!

Now on to Sidekicks and then Giants...

And once Giants comes out I am sure 90% of these people will buy every single redesigned skylanders just for "Complete collections" I say the remakes are stupid and I think going through the entire game at 10 will be challenging because in SSA everything died in like 4 hits, so level 10 is gonna be fun. Also its like pokemon, just because someone got an Arceus from an event and someone didn't, it doesnt mean they can't post about their teams and what not, Thanks.

Angel, I am not in any debt. I am very smart with money, believe it or not.

Infact, for the new variants I am getting, I just turned around and sold toys I invested in over the past 4-5 years, which go up in value over time (Transformers).

Selling that collection, which I don't ever display, not only paid for my variants, but netted me an extra couple of hundred dollars, just for sitting on them for a few years.

I am already saving for Giants stuff.

At first glance, a few hundred bucks sounds good but how much was the original outlay and how much was the profit?

From that you can calc the ROI and compare it against more "traditional" investments.

Chaos, I would say I paid a total of about 600 for this particular TF collection I had. I had sold another, I paid about 500 for, but sold for 1200 - plus shipping - making about a 700 dollar profit. That collection had been bought from 2006 to 2010.

This collection I recently sold, I collected from 2007-2011 (movie toys). I didn't even have the wholr collection. Paid 600, sold it for 1500. I made about 900 off of it.

Seriously, Transformers build up fast, if you know which ones to collect. People dig the movie and classics/universe/generations/reveal the shield stuff. Not too many pay for the Animated toys. Prime toys can fetch some coin as of this time, but it seems like it will be another Animated.

They are about to bring out new Generations toys. I will buy them and sit on them for a few years. I will only buy the Fall of Cybertron toys to open, since they are gaming-related. However, I will buy 2 of each. They're even releasing a new combiner from the new game. SDCC will have the game accurate colors of that combiner. Hasbro always sells those on their site after the show. Combiners always go for a pretty penny.

We have all 37 plus the doubles of the 37 and the extras like the blue bash

After missing him on at least 10 different occasions, finally found Wham-Shell today. Collection finally complete.

My set became complete as of two days ago when I managed to get the only Wham-Shell that Target got in that day! Wahoo!!!

I honestly feel like I have major obsessive compulsive disorder to have achieved this level!!!!! All 37 and a Blue Bash and all bought at retail price except a reasonably priced set of the Legendaries, but I got the 3DS version at half off, so it evens out..(it helps to have different colored ones when I'm playing with my son)... That's my excuse anyway. I've been following this website since Christmas and have appreciated the wealth of information! So kudos to everyone!!! My son and I have really enjoyed this series and I can't wait till October, GIANTS!

This is but a short couple months break for me though I'm afraid. I'm hooked, and October is my birthday anyway, so the next race will begin. I'm not a "gamer" or a "collector" in general, so I am surprised to be here since I really only need one for each element anyway. It's been a challenge and fun along the way.

I just received Wham Shell today, putting me at 37/37!!!

Just got Wham yesterday.
I let out a pretty loud gasp when I saw it, startling my husband. After searching for this last Skylander for weeks I really didn't believe it at first.
Finally at 37!

I am myself one of many who was surprised to find out how collectible these things are, as I was originally planning to be a "one of each element" guy. I currently have twelve, I plan to buy at least two or three more from the current series, and I predict I'll be buying a further three or so when the 'Giants characters release.
I would never become a 37/37 nut like some of you guys because there are some skylanders in the lineup that I just refuse to desire. (Wrecking Ball? Ugh.) I do, however, have respect for people who do go for a complete set, and I especially have respect for GameMaster for being that guy who goes the whole hog to have all the seperate unopened singles and three-packs, etc. Keep at it and good luck after 'Giants, I say!
