This has probably been asked before, but as the title says.

Will I only need one figure from each element to beat the game 100% (When I say 100%, I'll obviously have blank spaces in my Skylander list.)

Thanks!

Oh, also, a bit new here, where did everyone get the 'I own' Skylander pics for their sig?

I'll admit, this game is no way NEAR as good as the originals, but this game is quite good though!

8. There's 8 elements, but you get 3 with the game, so 5 only. Not too bad. I think in total you could skimp under $100 to get 100%

The icons are located in the help files (up to the top left of the page, the "Help Files" under the forum header)

Ok, so that's great! Thanks! I only need 5 more figures then. I'd probably go for Eruptor (because of adverts smilie), Stealth Elf or Camo, Cynder (even though I'm not the biggest fan of LoS - I dont mind it - I know who she is at least), Not sure about the Earth one, and Whirlwind.

Of course, I also have Spyro, Trigger Happy and Gill Grunt.

What do you think I should get for Earth, and which for Life, Stealth Elf or Camo?

Thanks, see ya!

if you go for the 5 go for the adventure packs and the legendary....

But, the Adventure Packs only have 1 figure. I'm not too fussed about the extra levels or now. I'd just like to finish the main game completely. And the legendaries, I don't see much of them.

I'd say skip Eruptor and get Flameslinger. I don't care much for slower characters, and they're pretty useless in a game like this!

Stealth Elf is one of the best characters in the game due to the massive amount of attack power she puts out after upgrading. For Earth, I'd say Bash would be a good one, although Dino-Rang is my personal fav. Prism Break might save you some trouble as his beams will cut through rocks in the game's mine levels, but he's a bit slow. That could be your "slow" character if you really wanted one.

Lets see, if you paid $50 for the game, plus $9 x 5 would put you...right around $95! Hmm, wasn't too far off.

If you're a collector, I'd definitely say to think about collecting the others. Right now there's a lot of them out there (at least, the older ones) so you could probably get caught up to the rest of us pretty quick.

Oh ok thanks. That helps. Also, they're still about £8 over here, which is quite expensive for something like this. I think I'll focus on collecting once I'm done.

Thanks everyone!

Depends on how you want to spend your cash, and how much you have to spend, but you might consider getting the Adventure Packs instead, so that you can get the associated new levels and magic items. Dragon's Peak comes with Sunburn (fire) for example, Pirate Seas comes with Terrafin (earth), Darklight Crypt comes with Ghost Roaster (undead). It's a little more expensive that way, but you do get a lot of extra content.

For life I would definitely pick Camo, but good luck finding him right now. Stealth Elf was one of my first, I got her in the 3DS starter pack but she's not that great IMHO. I like Lightning Rod for air, but I haven't played all of the others in that element yet.

Or you could just give in to the inevitable and start collecting all of the characters. . . the cheapest way is with the triple packs, 3 for $20 is better than $9 or $10 each. . . . Frankly that's what got me hooked on the game--I like collecting toys (hadn't done it in years, but it's good to be back!) but each character is so different that it's really fun to change them out and see what each one can do.

So UK then? Then Camo isn't an option unless you want to wait ages (or pay a lot to import) I would heartily recommend Stealth Elf as she's really powerful and pretty fast but I've heard good things about Zook and he is available in the UK but is a little rarer than Stealth Elf here still. Don't bother with Stump Smash... he's just awful.

Terrafin is really good for Earth but he's more expensive because he only comes in the adventure pack with the extra level and 2 magic items which I personally wanted to get but if you don't then I'd either go for Dino-Rang or Bash. I don't care for Prism Break but some people like him...

I've not used him much yet but Ignitor is pretty good for fire... I like Flameslinger but he's a little weak. Eruptor, as someone already mentioned, is just too slow but if you're on the Wii version aparently he kicks bottom so weigh it up yourself.... Sunburn is still not out here (grrr!).

With Warnado unavailable in the UK and with no forseeable release date you're left with Sonic Boom who is pretty fun to play if you go with her baby path, Whirlwind who has her followers... she's pretty good on Tempest Dragon. I don't like Lightning Rod... some people think he's strong but I've heard others say he is not so great...

Cynder is a good choice for Undead but as long as you don't go for Chop Chop (he's terrible) you're going to get a pretty good Skylander. There is a lot of hate for Hex but I think that's mostly based on her looks. I like Ghost Roaster though I didn't think I would... I only got him because I wanted all the extra levels but he can be really strong EXCEPT on the Wii where he is nerfed badly.

I would suggest the adventure packs for earth/ undead/ fire and an extra water Skylander. I'm not sure if they count to the 100% of the game, but theres a LOT of extra content in them and the two I've played so far (Darklight Crypt and Pirate Seas) have been quite fun!
Although there is the problem with Dragon's Peak still not being out over here and... no one has any clue when its coming out o_e.

Now, I admit, I haven't played with all of my Skylanders just yet... but do not get Eruptor. I don't even keep him in the box with my other ones, I just hated how he played that much. I quite like Flameslingers bow, but I haven't had much play time with Ignitor.

Until Camo comes out and I can pass an opinion, highly recommend Stealth Elf! Shes great fun to play as, especially if you go around attacking while using the stealth. But I've heard people say shes pretty lame down the Forest Ninja path, so go for Pook Blade. I do admit though, shes the only Life skylander I have.

Earth... I've only had extensive play time with Bash, who is apparently really good. I quite liked how Terrafin feels, but I've yet to actually use him in a level.

I personally love playing with Cynder, and everyone here says shes a beast on both pathways. Haven't played much with my other undead Skylanders though. Everyone has the opinion that Chop Chop could have been good, but is weak down both pathways. Haven't much touched Hex and Ghost Roaster though

Air... I like Whirlwind but I don't feel as strongly about her as some other Skylanders? I like her more than Sonic Boom, but I guess thats because I didn't go down the babies path. Might have to reset her and see what that one is like. I use SB's voice attacks more, but something isn't right about them.

Aaaand I do also recommend Drobot as a tech Skylander rather than Trigger Happy. Drobot is a great character.

Hey Spyrocool, most of the older figures can be bought atm beside wave 4-5 id recommend going to amazon.com and get your figures there if you get 3 figures at retail $8.99 that will push you over $20 and you'll get free shipping plus there is no tax added either its a good way to save alittle money. And zoolert.com will show you which ones are in stock at retail on amazon

If you're playing the Xbox 360 or PS3 version, then you should try and shell out for the Darklight Crypt Ghost Roaster pack. Darklight Crypt is the only adventure pack level that's worth playing, and it's actually really creative and fun. Plus there's the bonus of Ghost Roaster being really awesome on the Xbox360 and PS3 versions of the game. Ghost Roaster's mechanics are a little bit different on the Wii though, so that severely affects his usefulness for Wii owners. If you're on the Wii, I'd honestly say to go with Chop-Chop. He's way easier to find, and most of the people who say he sucks are mostly referring to multiplayer battles. He's pretty decent for just playing through story mode, and down the Vampiric Warrior path he's a lot of fun to play as once you learn how to properly use his combos. (hint: The purpose of the combo that makes Chop-Chop leap forward and use his bone attack is really meant for quickly jumping away from enemies to dodge attacks), He may not be the most effective character, but you'll quickly find that the more powerful characters are often the most uninteresting to play as.

Really my best advice is to pick the ones that you like, because you can easily 100% the game with any set of characters. (Though having Flameslinger or Warnado for the time attack challenges would probably help a lot sine they're very speedy)
