Herioc Challenges and Stat Maximization [CLOSED]

Is it possible to go above 100 of any single given stat?

For example, with all Herioc Challenges complete on Stealth Elf (excluding Wham Shell, I don't have him yet) I have 95 Critical Hit. If I wear a Pirate Hat, that goes up 95(+20) [this is how it's displayed in game], which would make it 115 Critical Hit.

Does that really work, or is it capping out at 100, rendering the extra 15 Crit from the hat useless? Basically, I'm running into this problem with Stealth Elf and Crit, and Slam Bam and Armor. Wasn't sure if I'm going OVER the cap, where I can/should just be using a Speed Hat, etc.

Don't hold me to it but I'm pretty sure the cap is 100, so if you go over with a hat or something, it wouldn't really effect you.

So you're saying going over the "100 limit" shown in game will still provide stat increases (I.E. There isn't truly a cap, and the number "100" was more for UI Purposes?).
