Every Skylander uses the same combo over and over, that's not really a valid reason.

not really. first of all his second move is useful, not like stealth elf's one (poor scarecrows). with stealth elf i just spam A+A+Z to deal more than 100 damage without missing. with slam bam it's harder (funnier to me) to hit and you have to choose between A+A+A or A+A+B. A+A+Z is also useful sometimes. there are few skylanders boring as stealth elf. drobot is another one (spam laser.sometimes fly). if you want a non-overpowered example: wrecking ball (spam forcefield ball).

That's a good point... I'm sure the odd older person has voted for Slam Bam... amd probably most younger girls have voted for Stealth Elf... and maybe the odd younger boy but I think in general your point is valid. I'm 28 and I voted Stealth Elf.

i'm 17 and i don't know if i'm young or old for you, but i voted for slam bam. and not because he's cool and stealth elf is female. really this feminist theory is very stupid. also, even if stealth elf was male i would have voted for slam bam, because he is fun to play. and even the design of a four-arms yeti is more original than a generic elf assassin/ninja. the scarecrow add something to the character, too bad you will never use them while spamming combos

It's not the "femenist theory" it's an "ageist theory" or perhaps a "sizeist theory".

In my opinion if Stealth Elf was big and burly (and had cool sunglasses/goggles) I think more younger people would like her... and if Slam Bam looked puny fewer younger people would like him.

There's no "theory" at all. Some people just like happen to like Slam Bam over Stealth Elf regardless of age or gender. For goodness sake, she's the center piece of most advertisements over Spyro himself, she's a ninja, an elf, and one of the more powerful Skylanders in the game, so she's going to inevitability have the more fans over the big, burly, and slow four armed yeti with the "useless" soul gem upgrade. How old a person is, their gender, what team they're on in the Team Jacob vs Team Edward thing, or how tall they are simply is not a factor. It never is. It's simply a matter of opinion

There's always going to be the youngster who likes Stealth Elf because she's awesome and hates Slam Bam. There's always going to be the older person who doesn't really like Stealth Elf but loves Slam Bam. Saying things like "Oh, Slam Bam is only winning because kids are voting for him" is not only stereotyping and pretentious, it's all being a sore loser.

You do tend to find that opinions are often similar within age groups... it's a well proven fact that people of the same age are more likely to like the same things. It's called demographics, the more you have in comon with someone the more likely it is you will share their opinions. It's never foolproof and sometimes there is a vast difference within groups but if there was nothing in it companies wouldn't spend so much money analysing demographic data.

But hey, forget I said anything.

That's not making a point, that's being insulting and making excuses.

Demographics shouldn't really apply to individual characters anyway. Too narrow a test group.

Its hard not to draw correlations between what age groups like what Skylanders though.

Oh! This is really cool! I am already coming in at the end but my favorites managed to make it to the top. I see that everyone seems to be debating on whether or not certain characters are the underdogs but lets face it, this is the top 4, no one is really an underdog at this point.
