Hello DS!

Im running low on money in Skylanders and im tired of grinding.

Is there a way to get fast money????

if you have the wii version and pirate seas treasure chest there is a glitch for infinite money

From a grind perspective, what levels do you guys recommend? I've been using the first portion of the lava lake railway level. I get about 1700 for about 5-7 minutes of work, are there any other levels that work well for this?

i use quicksilver vault for faster money and levelling

I use the Lair of Kaos level for leveling and money (and the Wii cheat).

Their are cheat codes and hack codes for all systems but I don't know them and don't use them takes the fun outta the game. But I would talk to someone really smart with Tec. Only one I know on here is the user name quan89. Theirs plenty more but he's the only one I know off the top of my head.

for the wii version there is no point in using hacks or cheat codes when you can just use the pirate seas treasure chest glitch i no i use it all the time its simple place and pick up the treasure chest till its near the entrance to dragons peak collect it then take to Persephone then the chest will pop back up allowing you to recollect it rinse and repeat. As far as lvling goes i use kaos lair in 1 playthrough minus the fight with kaos i usually take lvl 1 skylanders to about lvl 8 or 9 this of course using the wii version of kaos lair. also a single run through kaos layer will nail you almost 3000 money

Here's a great tip.

Lair of Kaos
Run past every enemy once through the first portal
When in the first circular area, before the first gate, place Winged Boots on
Run past Lava Monster
Open gate
Get gems
Run past everything until you get to the second gate (on 360/PS3 in which you go left or right to open the gate and use the bounce pad), or use the bounce pad and go get the other gems before the third (second if it's on the Wii)
By this time, the Winged Boots speed should be close to wearing off, if it hasn't. If it has take the damage and keep walking to the step below. If the speed hasn't worn off, just keep going to the step below
Go up and grab the gems to the right of the turrets
Press start
Go to Lair of Kaos
repeat the above steps

I am able to buy all moves for my characters, thanks to the speed of the Winged Boots, in about 10 minutes.

i have a finished game where i broke no totems and i didn't talk with moneyba... ehm auric. so my new characters will have like 15000 coins to play with

There is another trick to getting fast cash, but it can crash the game and I think there's a point after which you can no longer do it.

You'll need a fire Skylander, Gill Grunt, and 2 controllers.
With the first controller, go down to the beach to the campfire and stand your fire skylander on the campfire.
Using the second controller, hose down the campfire with Gill Grunt.
Watch the money erupt from the campfire like a fountain.

As for the levels, I prefer Quicksilver Vault. Lots of money in the first half. I play until I get to the second keyed gate (where you meet the first minion that shoots the bombs in the air). Once I kill him, I switch to a different character, and then back out of the level once he is on the screen. The first character (the one you are trying to get the money for) will keep the money he collected prior to exiting the level. Just put him back when you are back at the main screen.

I go to the arkean armory. The whole robot part can give u lots of $$$$$$$

Am I stupid if I can't find the campfire? Just walked all over the beach and don't see one. Is the campfire only on certain consoles' versions of the game?

The campfire is only around for a certain portion of the game and then it disappears I think. Let me see if I can find the original thread I found about this...

Edit: Looks like the campfire appears after you complete level 8 (Crystal Eye Castle) and then disappears after you complete level 11 (Falling Forest).

That would suck, but makes sense. I'm at 100% completion, and wouldn't have a need for the money in the first place if I wasn't upgrading characters that I haven't recently gotten. Really aggravating, because the more you go through these levels, the less cash there is in them. I just did one of the earlier levels, and barely got any money at all. Also, the Pirate Seas chest runs out after you have used it over and over again on a level. I have had this happen several times. Put it on at the beginning of a level, only to have it say that this item's magic has run out for this level. : (

Just play through the levels as normal. If you don't plan on doing this, then why do you need to upgrade your characters in the first place?

I do play normally. You have to understand that I got 100% game completion, before I was able to buy all of the characters. Now that I am adding characters, I want to upgrade them and therefore need to get the cash. I'm sure I'm not the only one in this position. Wave 4 just came out and many people are already at 100%. Think about it......

The chest runs out? You mean in a mission? I cant see it running out at the ruins, which is where I use it. Place on portal, find it, hopefully close to someone to talk to (by dragons peak, by flynn, etc). Get gold, talk to character, skip talk, get gold again.. over and over... never had it run out at the ruins... can it?

My chest has never worked in the ruins (I'm on PS3.) The guy always says "I'm sorry but it looks like this items power has run out for this level." Maybe I need to start a new saved game because the total number of Skylanders listed on the save select screen is wrong too.

that explains it... yeah they are limited on the xbox and PS3, that exploit only works on the wii version as far as I know... I think the way it works on the PS3 and Xbox is how it was designed to work, its just a glitch with the wii version, but ill take it.... makes upgrading faster if you want....

lair of kaos is a good level for money

I just use the Tech Gate in 2nd level and get around 700 coins in maybe 2-5 minutes easy.
