Tried him for the first time tonight and his "lightning from above" attack is awesome. I managed to get the first upgrade for it, so now it lasts a lot longer.

I have him at level 10, and fully upgraded. The best part to me, is that you can control the lightning from a great distance, and it allows you to kill enemies that another character couldn't even hit yet. I am able to clear the next level of enemies from a distance which is great. At the same time, it sucks that this attack halts whenever you take a hit. I have mostly played him in 2p mode, and will attack the far off enemies. I have found several times that I had taken more hits and incurred more damage than I realized, while focusing on the enemies in the distance. Overall, he is great. Don't forget the storm cloud attack, which is also powerful, but the enemies have to be relatively close for it to work.

Lightning Rod is basically just Robin Williams as the Genie from Aladdin doing one of his transformations into Robin Williams the actor. Search your feelings, you know it to be true.

Im a fan of the character but is it just me or have a lot of you have or seen horrible paint jobs on this figure. Mine has missing paint for the lightning bolt and random brown spots on the body that looks like paint dripped from the hair. Also saw another one in the store the other day and his chest was splattered with white paint.

he is my favourite air character and use him alot but for me the one thing that lets him down is his attack speed when he starts off (haven't got him on level ten yet so I'm not sure if he speeds up)

I got him recently, gotta say he is fun to play and packs a whallop when built up a little. My time using Lightning Rod has certainly made me a member

I didn't catch the King Neptune from SpongeBob, but you are SO right about this! Too funny! He is a great character and I love using his attack where he rises up and rains the multi-colored lightning blast from above. Very powerful, and even more versatile. This will allow you to hit things that are on the other sides of walls and you wouldn't be able to reach them with other characters.
