The level is probably the hardest in the game (it recommends level 10 Skylanders, and believe me you'll need them), and it's so wonderfully designed, like the console version (as opposed to Empire of Ice which was so much cooler looking than the consle version). You have Vathek all throughout the level flying around, and you can hear him roaring at you occasionally.
The challenges are more of the same, except for this one interesting challenge that has you find eggs and then returning them to dragon's nests .
But perhaps the most awesome thing is that you get a full fledged boss fight against Vathek himself!

At least we know how Vathek fights in his boss battle. I was glad we get to battle him. :3
I also noticed that Sunburn flies a little off the ground when he breaths fire at enemies.

It was an interesting boss fight, timing the launching of bombs and even sheep and the window of opportunity to hit him with something growing smaller as you do more damage.
Of course you could get a good ranged Skylander and completely forgo the launching thing.

Haha this is what happened with me. I was playing as L-Triggs for my Tech Skylander for the level and was just shooting and then I saw the pots floating down and was like "Oh, I see". Just finished getting all the crystals for the level. So now I'm at 165/165 for Crystals, all the hats, all the scrolls and I'm just missing the last few guys for absolutely full completion!

That's awesome, maybe having a FULL 100 percent completion will actually change SOMETHING.

I have played through the level at least 6 times now, Ive completed 1 crystal - I enjoy the level and don't want to feel timed so I've been avoiding objectives.
First time I played it - I went through it with Level 1 Sunburn, but I had Ghost Roaster 10 on Reserve xD) It is very fun , and the most unique - since we get no boss fights in the game except Hektore. The EoI feels repetitive - avoiding the blades on the Arena is so flippin hard. Pirate Seas is fun - but looks exactly like the Pirate Ship (non expansion) level in the Console version Darklight Crypt I always feel very rushed in.

I absolutely hate that stupid "avoid the slicers" objective in EoI. Everything is so stacked against you, no Skylander seems to have much of a chance.
Is there anything like that in Dragon's Peak? |

Amazingly enough, no. I was expecting a "avoid the fires" type objective but it's just "don't get clocks" and "don't eat food".

I KNOW THAT FEEL. I think I was using Whirlwind. Best thing to do is get a hopping character (like, one that is limber and maybe also has an attack that shoots down when they jump like Zook or Trigger Happy) and then try to hop around the blades. As D-Rex said, the only ones are no clocks and no food. Wasn't too bad, although I honestly would have preferred to have a no touching the fire. It gets rough, especially since the enemies seem to be a bit tougher on this level.

I used Slam Bam. He was strong enough to take out enemies fast to get radiance quickly, and heavy enough to avoid getting too slippery on the ice.
