Is there a way to do this on the forums at all?
I hold my hands up and admit that I've not exactly made it a secret that there's a member on the forums that I'm not fond of (due to their relentless bullying of a newer member that they seem to continue to get away with). Maybe the better thing to do would to be able to have a filter that blocks out every post they make. Maybe other members can use it for members that are annoying them, and all the nitpicking and harassing can stop.

It was brought up many times, and deemed as ridiculous

That's a big shame to hear, because I think it would be very beneficial myself in lieu of having a moderating team on the forums who can break up the petty bullying and nitpicking.

Define bullying. While I agree that there should be mods, certain things like petty bullying is nothing worth making a fuss about. |

I'd be inclined to disagree; I find that petty bullying can really bring the atmosphere down and I have seen it cause good members to leave (as well as myself), albeit on a temporary basis.
Either way, I currently have no beef with the person who prompted me to make this topic, and as has been outlined by matesds, the likelihood of either moderators or an ignore feature is slim to none, so there's little point in keeping the topic open. |
