So does anyone else on here make custom Skylanders figures? The only other custom Skylanders I have seen are from the guy Jin-Saotome who makes those articulated figures. I mean, the pony fandom has an incredible amount of custom figures and plushies, i'm actually surprised that we barely have any! Anyways, i've been wanting to make tons of Skylanders customs, but so far I only painted a Legendary Cynder, Golden Cynder, and a golden Whirlwind. These are awesome. Wish they were official. I could probably paint one, but how long does it usually take?

It takes a few hours to paint them. The gold ones took probably 2 hours to paint, while the legendary Cynder took me about 6 hours, she was so difficult to paint. :/

What paint do you use? Could you Pm me what is best for skylander plastic, i want to make a legendary sunburn

The colors seem a bit off (Gold seems a little too yellow, and the blue isn't dark enough) but the quality of the paint job appears to be quite good. The detail in Whirlwinds wings looks perfect. Well done.

I've only made a few changes to mine, like making Spyro's claws silver, and Sonic boom's helmet fully silver, and adding white dots to the eyes, cus it looks weird without them. I'll have to upload some pics this weekend. They look pretty cool.

But they're nothing compared to yours :3

I did to my sonic boom what you did to yours.

Firstly, I'm going to say that I like how people seem to play "favourites" when it comes to people making duplicate topics. I've seen people in this thread bullying certain people who make duplicate threads, and then be perfectly fine with other people making duplicate threads. A bit hypocritical, I fancy.

As for the topic at hand, that's some nice paint-work, Kariana! If weren't not for the fact that getting ahold of Skylanders here is an impossibility, I'd think about giving it a shot, myself.

That was actually what I was going to do when I first got that Whirlwind figure, but then I decided to make it gold instead. Now that you mention it, a legendary Whirlwind will probably be on of the next customs I will make. :3
Oh and Warnado13, I like the idea of me making a tutorial, I will probably be able to make a tutorial on Deviantart, or maybe I can even make a video tutorial and add it to YouTube. I'm not sure yet, but I will keep that in mind.

Well I really look forward to seeing your tutorial then, because in my opinion your customs are the best I have seen so far!

Im seriously considering buying that cynder you made on ebay, kariana! Its so freaking awesome and I have not yet found a cynder yet, so it may be the perfect opportunity for me to get one! I like the colors you used and I am very impressed! I wish i could paint with that good detail!

@Whirlwind1820 - Ummmmm, they sort of paint them? Isn't it obvious?

Those customs are really nice, although I would have liked to see pictures taken before you put them back in the box so we could see them better.

I do like that you've kept the eyes normal on the golds I don't like how the real golds and sivers have no other paint detail on at all... it makes them look cheap and lazy. Yours looks better imo

not bad for a 6 year old, I even had ideas for a magnetic skylander looks like they are taking to limits of their voice but Activision may not make an electrical element enless they make a skylanders 3. HEY this gives me an idea of what it could be called........ SKYLANDERS: the lost elements.
