They probably sit around in their headquarters or offices. I'd highly doubt they'd get rid of them; the only way would be for some sort of promotion or something.

^ Agreed they probably keep them for future promotions ect... probably pretty cool walking into your office with a huge Skylander too!

it was tfb guy that said it, not the press release and what video interview it was i dunno there have been a lot of them...

In that interview go to 5:00 and that skylander on the far left side looks like a dark Cynder? If it is were do you get it?

That's not dark Cynder, that's normal Cynder.

It looks... different. Differently colored.

Its the purple metallic Cynder from the Toy Fair.

Hey i looked around the site for a while n couldnt find if anyone brought this up.... When Giants come out, will our skylanders just return to level one and take away all of their heroic challenges? im to the point where i was thinkin about taking one skylander and doing every challenge, but that would be kinda a waste if it all means nothing in the next game. Can someone help me out on this?

Thus far, we don't really know. The claims are that we can use them, but it was never stated if they'd be downgraded or what. Ideally, i'd like a level cap to be raised to 15 so we could continue leveling.

They already confimred that all of your customizations of your current Skylanders will carry over into Giants. Nothing gets reset. They said so in the video at the top of this page.

hmmm.... going into a sequel with 90% of the skylanders you want, fully leveld and upgraded, kinda takes the fun outta it. half the fun is lvling and upgrading. so unless spyroflame is onto something and the raise the lvl cap to 15... could be a bust. I know their releasing 8 new skylanders (not including giants).... but checkin out everyones army.... eight isnt gunna last.... I think they have to bring something new to make it fun for the original skylanders. what fun is it gunna be, walkin around with a lvl 10 skylander shredding little chompies. but i guess that might be the strategy to sell new skylanders... make your old ones boring?

I think the idea is that the levels and upgrades are carried on from the first game. However, there will be new heroic challenges but whether there will be new upgrades is unknown.

1/. They are perfectly happy for you to buy the re-modelled figs to level up from scratch.

2/. Even level 15 is subjective; I foresee at least level 20, if not more.

By 'normal', he means that the new unknown Air Skylander is NOT a Giant.

Meow,I don't know if you guys read the Nintendo Power article that was posted in another thread,but it mentioned that the Air Skylander is a giant,unless it's a mistake on their part.

"The Giants don't just rely on brute force to get past their foes. This massive bird uses his tech as much as he does his razor-sharp talons."

He didn't look big(at bit taller than Lighting Rod and the transformed Alchemist,maybe);but the article mentions him as a massive bird,thus a Giant. I might be wrong though...

The article has the the air Skylander wrong as a Giant, he's a normal-sized Skylander.

Yeah, It's just the reporter's view though. We've already seen figures of him that show he's definitely not a giant. Even the screenshot on the same page shows he's the exact same size as the Troll grunts.
