After a strong discussion of hacking the game (which didn't even occur to me that you could hack the game) I'm pulling this post as it's not worth discussing. No hacking occurred, but we likely found a bug in the game (how to reproduce, I have no idea). To prevent spoiling things for others, I'm pulling the content. (I originally wasn't sure if this was something that was commonly found but it seems it is not.)

No, we haven't played Dragon's Peak nor gotten it. It isn't even out yet. Did you hack the game?

Not sure how you hack a Wii game. If we hacked it, we don't know how we did it. I actually think it's likely a bug in the game caused by a series of events (of which I have no idea how to recreate).

Before we collectively cast dispersions, how about we read the OP's post and give them the benefit of the doubt that their game glitched and provided content that it shouldn't have?

After all, the OP was asking about it and was very clear that they were simply looking around and found something that they had not seen before, not saying something like, "Lulz! I just did the Dragon's Peak level cause I'm leet!". So how about we take them at face value?

Even if he did completed Dragon's Peak, by accident, he posted spoilers since we haven't even played Dragon's Peak.

Honestly? circumventing a deliberate ploy to create scarcity and elongate a game's appeal artificially (let's withhold content already on the disc!) is completely ok with me.

plus, since there's no online, "hacking" this game isn't really going to effect anyone else.

There has been recent hackings on Skylanders with hackers posting unreleased content, Osbor. And some new users had posted them on here in the past. I'm not getting mad at video games.

The minute the game itself was released anything on the disc is considered released content. Just because the $20 "Unlock Code" AKA the Adventure Pack, hasnt been released doesnt mean its not open season. Dragon's Peak is ON the disc, its not like its newly released Downloadable Content that someone hacked online before it was released.

They'll still be able to hack into the unreleased Skylanders in order to play them.

Didn't hack the game. We just came across it. I was just curious if anyone else had this happen or if it was unique. I think I have my answer.

Nope, most of us only came across the Flavius character model at the edge of the Ruins on the Wii version.

Really? Where was the unreleased Skylander on the videos linked?? Looks like Slam Bam to me. No unreleased Skylander was hacked and the content of the level is already on the disc so again is fair game and officially released content. Just because you cant access it by normal means doesnt mean its not considered released by law.

I wish I knew. It was just there when we were walking around the ruins. No idea really. But, since it's clear that it's not a common thing and I don't want to ruin the game for anyone, I think I'll pull the videos and pictures.

There had been hacks of Camo, Zook, Lightning Rod and Warnado being played by hackers on Youtube.

Even if he did its still not reason to scream HACKER at him and treat him like dirt like some people on this site do from upon their high horses. Every figure/item/level piece functions as a "unlock" code. All 30+ characters coding is on the disc already, as are all four *extra* stages. My issue is calling it unreleased content. Because it IS released content, as its on the disc.

i doubt activision would actually pursue the poor guy.
or if they did, they are an even more terrible company than i expected, and really need a change in direction.

but more than likely they'll assume it's just a bug, which it is, and call it a day.

now if this guy had posted the encryption keys for reading the figures? now that would be something different.
