I want to play co-op of Skylanders with 2 different pc. At LAN or Internet. Is that possible?
Or with 1 PC and 2 keyboards?
Anyone an idea?

Definately impossible I'm afraid.
If you want to play co-op Skylanders on your PC you have to do what I did and buy a PC GamePad controller. Look on Play.com and you can buy one for a fiver.

Pretty sure you can just use 2 keyboards. When I go to do Battle mode on the PC version it always says 'please plug in another controller or KEYBOARD' (or something like that).

I'm sure Toys For Bob would be more than happy to expand on what Skylanders can do. Online, story, etc. Spyro's Adventure was a bit of a try to see if the game can be any good, and it was. Given time, Giants could be so much better with more levels, more Skylanders, and even online. Unfortunately, Activision is not a patient company. They care nothing for the quality of the product, just as long as it can draw sales. And if it can draw sells, it is subject to their yearly installment business model. Not enough time to improve on much.

How in the world would you solve the IRQ issue of having 2 keyboards? They would both want IRQ2 regardless of where they are plugged in. Sure, due to PnP, we have IRQ steering, but keyboards are not the same as mice or sound cards or video cards. System timer and keyboards ( as far as I know ) cannot have their IRQs changed. You could do a keyboard for player 1 and a game pad/joystick for player 2.

Skylanders for PC lags so much as is because of Securerom. No way it would run on Online or LAN. lol

This is essentially the way it works now. One person on the keyboard/mouse and another on the game pad. |

No it doesn't. Mine works FINE. It's your COMPUTER that's the problem, not the game.

So, I garner that you can't merely map keys for player 1 to be one side of the k/board and player 2 to be the other side?
If so, how bogus!

Lots of people complain about the PC Version lagging because they haven't noticed that its graphics settings are maxxed by default: You have to go to the Options/Display menu and turn them down yourself to make the game run faster.

Originally my kids purchased the PC version of the game. It was unplayable on every computer we installed it on. Eventually I contacted tech support. I provided them my DXDIAGS and proved to them that my PC's not only met but exceeded the minimum requirements by twice as much in almost all categories. This included my NVIDIA GeForce 9500 GT card.
After a week of back and forth with their support people, updating drivers and killing services etc. they finally decided that I needed to buy a $200 video card and my problems would be resolved. Instead I returned the PC version, dubbed it as half baked and picked up the XBOX version (making up the difference with my own cash because it was my children that saved their own money to buy the cheaper PC version in the first place). I don't recommend playing this on PC to anyone.

I feel stupid for asking this, but just to be sure, did you try turning the graphics options down, especially the "graphics quality" one that causes all the lag for most people? (Or was gameplay lag not what you meant by "unplayable"?)

I'm playing the PC version and couldn't ask for better performance. You do need a good video card, I have the ATI/AMD 6870 and it runs perfect at 1920x1200 with everything maxed.

I did that myself before I even called tech support and they recommended it first thing. I went through this with several reps over a week's time on three different computers. All of my machines can run every game I've ever installed. I mostly play World of Warcraft and I play that on "Ultra" which is the maximum settings the game has in all respects. I get a lovely 60FPS in orgrimar and in raids. There is absolutely no reason a game of this type should be taxing anything on my computers and that includes my video card. It's moot now anyway since we got the XBOX version it runs nearly perfectly (as it should). Still the game will freeze on occasion and I'll have to reboot my console. It's the only game in my library that requires this ever let alone as often as this one does, but it's a small price to pay to make my kids happier than they've ever been with a game title. The above post snuck in after this one. Here's the thing, this game plus figures is already prohibitively expensive. The only other game I come close to spending this much lucre on is Rock Band 3. I'm not about to purchase a $200 video card to replace my $150 video card for a single title. It's insane to expect that.
