Are you sure that the devs for X360 and PS3 is TFB? As for the first game they did the Wii version, but Xpec did the X360, PS3 and PC versions?

Yes, in an interview they said that they would be developing the 360 and PS3 versions because they wanted to keep it as faithful to the Wii version as possibly - something that S:SA wasn't.

And as far as we know, there won't be a PC release.

Does anyone know which Skylanders are being redisigned?

To Rays:

^ We currently only know about Cynder, Zook, and Prism Break with his light up crystals. Four of the re-designed figures will light up. There are going to be 24 redesigns in all.

Edit: Keep in mind that Prism Break is in the same pose of his original figurine, the only redesign on him appears to be his glowing crystals arms.

Kaos will be the main villain again.

bionicle, could you possibly add a changelog near the top or something. I keep seeing the post glowing when you edit it, but I don't usually see what's been edited it. That'd be helpful for when new info drops we can see exactly what it is.

Will the remodels work on the first game? Would be cool to buy the remodel Cynder as I do not own the other one. But i that does not work on the first game I can´t see the point in buying it.

^ They might because they said that the remodeled figures look the same in-game and act the same as the normal ones so maybe they use the same model of character chip/data in each stand but just change the figurine. If this is the case, then yes, they should work with the original game.

Edit: The remodeled Cynder does have a clear orange plastic strip on the underside of it's stand instead of a green one like the originals so I'm not 100% sure. maybe the data inside of the stand is the same model as the original but they just chose to use orange plastic rims instead of the original green ones to signify that it's a new figurine. This is just my guess.

So Kaos will be back in the sequel? Cool, didn't know about it!

Also, to make an end to these topics about "it's a Spyro's game or not", why don't we ask it to Toys for Bob?

Actually, some fans (I think also from this forum, but I'm not sure), made some questions about the first Skylanders' game (they even asked them if they were going to do also a Crash's game) and they replied without problems, so I don't see the problem to answer some questions about the sequel or the entire new franchise...

Toys For Bob were actually really good on replies. I've sent them various e-mails and gotten reply's within minutes of sending them.

And a sequel of Skylanders has been announced and revealed. :P

Thank you bionicle2809 for volunteering yourself to create this mega-topic. It was very tiring to maintain all the info coming out; in truth, I didn't have much interest getting the game sadly. I appreciated the work that Toys for Bob did for their own amusement, but my mind will go-a-fizz! I had other things to do during that time period; maybe in a few months, or a couple of years - I can buy the game with the figurines.

The Nintendo Wii has been confirmed to be on. They are looking into the other consoles. I saw it in a video.

OH GAWD DAT CYNDER REDESIGN! *apply brain bleach* Although I will say I do like Kaos returning because insane/comical villains are my favorite types of villains and Kaos goes into the same division as Dr. Nefarious, Fawful, Dr. Eggman, etc.

It me it looks like Cynder has knight breast plates on her, she is turning into a armored knight!.

On another note could we have the skylanders talk in-game and such, Marvel utlimate alliance and such games do that quite well.

(Escort trigger happy= if you have trigger in your team switch it with Prism= If both players are using those skylanders use Hex)

May have been due to the lack of quality of the previous game's PC version.

Any word on price tag? If it's like 70 bucks, plus a certain amount for toys, I'm kind of out. I like Spyro, but I don't even have $70.

It doesn't look like it will be too different from the first one so far. Which isn't a bad thing in my op[inion because the first one was fun for what Ive played of it.

The PC/Mac versions of the game probably tanked in sales. Only hardcore gamers use the PC for gaming anymore. Most kids use systems, or play online games, not installed games (except for the sims )

Also, haven't been on the forum frequently for a few weeks, AMAZING developments on this game, and so quickly! LOVE what i'm hearing.

We all must not forget that Skylanders was a reboot of Spyro, so Skylanders will ALWAYS be a Spyro game. Spyro is the one character who has so many relatable things in skylanders. He has Cynder, who is also from his universe, Sparx the dragonfly is coming also! The Spyro continuity carries over into Skylanders, and we dont know how much more Spyro continuity will be added to Giants.

I'm wondering if it won't be too easy if the "old" Skylanders already have LV10 at the beginning. Maybe there will be more LVs to get or on this game they will automatic have lv1 again.
No matter. I think I would reset them. Otherwise where would be the fun? I love leveling up.
