The guide info on this site says that the Happy Birthday hat is the unique hat for the Wii.

Is that right? I looked at the printed guidebook and it agrees.

However, it agreeing is disconcerting to me as I was led to understand that the book was incorrect in this aspect?

I think it is. I have the Wii copy of the game and that hat was the first one there when I played the game.

The trouble is that if it is not the unique hat, then it can be found in all console versions.

What level was it on; the first level?

If so, I will quickly play the XBox version to test it.

It was just there in the hat list as far as I remember.

Yes, I started to replay the first level when the fact that the hat would not be in the level dawned on me...

What confused me a tad is that everything is in a different order to what I am used to.

On the Wii, the Biffie Hat is first on the list whilst on XBox the Flower Hat is actually last on the last page of hats.

I think you are thinking one hat is the Wii original hat when it isn't. One hat looks like a birthday cake with candles. One hat is a cone shaped party hat.

Also, to clarify my intent - I will now sell my Wii copy of the game, given that the XBox one arrived. I have given my three silver chars the Biffie Hat, for the sake of prosperity (given that my kids will play with the normal chars and change their hats willy-vanilly and once gone the hat cannot be reclaimed without a copy of that console version).

If you check my OP, you will notice that I referenced this site (hence the link was redundant). My question was because I understood the printed guide to be wrong on this and the site had the same info as the guide.

I intferred that there was a possibility that the site sourced the data from the guide or another erroneous source, so wanted to check.
