I bought him and I hate him, yet some people love him. Am I missing something? He can barely do half of the heroic challenges I have. I don't know what to do with him. I am one of those players who needs all their Skylanders leveled 100% so I am having a hard time with him.

He has the cuteness factor and he is better when leveled up he can eat small enemies think of him as a magikarp weak at first but a good team member at the end
---
I havent updated since I don't particularly care but I have gotten all the skylanders except varients only ones are glow Warnado and WERDS

^ Exactly.

He starts off really lame; but trust me, once he gets to level 10 and has his amazing upgrades, he's super good. Especially if you go Tongue spec with him.

I tried him, and he's a lot of fun, and certainly unique in his own right. But yeah, he's outclassed by pretty much all the other Magiclanders.

For a Wrecking Ball, he's not doing very much wrecking..

he sucks badly if you go with the tongue path. try the other one: it does nice damage, is a little hard to control, but very fun

His only redeeming quality is that he does a lot of damage (down the roller path). I personally don't like his control scheme but again that's just me.

I like him. I don't like him as much as my other skylanders, but he's alright. He's just really slow and weak, and his roll attack is hard as heck to control.

He sucks in the 3DS version because his tongue will stick to an edge and pull you right over to your doom.

I really like Wreaking Ball, he is super CUTE!!! But other than that he kind of sucks damage wise but is still a good Skylander down either upgrade path.

Thanks guys. I didn't like Zap when I first got him either, now he is one of my favorites. I think its cause he laughs when people get stuck in his slime.

So either path for Wrecking Ball is good? Cool I will work on him.

I have Wrecking Ball, and I took him down the Tongue path since that was the attack I used most of the time (probably the worst excuse). Plus, his rolling attack, as a couple of people have said already, is pretty difficult to control although I am starting to get the hang of it. I might reset him and try the Roller path since it seems to be the best one, but for now I am comfortable with what I have.
Certainly not the best Skylander on my team, but he's pretty fun; I guess I just have to play with him a bit more. smilie

When I read this I was hesitant to use Wrecking Ball, who came in a three pack and I hadn't tried yet, but I finally started leveling him a bit this morning and I actually really like him...oops haha! I use the tongue attack more often than the roll attack, though. I feel like the roll attack takes a little too long to load/prepare when I'm surrounded by enemies.

We love wrecking ball now and went the force field rote. It takes practice but he can smash just about anyone. I roll him through when I want to go fast and also put a speed hat on him...

I admit, Wrecking Ball is not very good when first bought, and is difficult to control, however, once you have upgraded him a little he is brilliant! He can eat smaller enemies in a split second. Although, as voodude said previously, I would not recommend going the tongue path on pick your path- if you do this, it just makes he completely useless. smilie

I don't hate Wrecking Ball.

I detest Wrecking Ball.

I can find a very good use for every other character. But not this dope. And it doesn't help that he keeps smiling and staring at me with those puppy dog eyes.

My son chose the tongue path and has barely used him since. I've only played with him a couple of times, his roll was way to hard to control and his tongue just didn't do enough damage. I don't hate him, I just wouldn't pick him to use in a tournament.

We finally found Wrecking Ball and have been using him for almost a week. He started out very slow, but improves by completing the speed heroic challenges. Haven't chosen an upgrade path yet, but the enemy slurp attack is pretty cool. Seems like there is a glitch with the enemy slurp attack. You can actually eat the Troll Gun Snouts!

^ Leaning towards the roll/force field path. Tongue attack seems pretty decent now.

My 7 year old and I are supposed to be working on fully leveling / upgrading the Skylanders he currently has. Hex and Wrecking Ball are the slowest to level for us because I have been busy lately (and I hate Wsmilie and my son doesn't like either of those characters.

Oh yeah, did I mention that he reset Slam Bam, Terrafin and Zap just to play them more under my advisement of playing those that aren't fully leveled yet? Frustrating...

Has anyone else thought maybe he was fan service for Sonic and Mario fans? Taking him down the Roller path gave me the weird idea that he is a cross between Yoshi and Sonic...smilie.

You people who think wrecking ball stinks are crazy. True, outmatched by a lot of other skylanders [such as eruptor] but saying he stinks is going to far. Choose the path of ultimate spinner, master it, then you're good to go.

he still stinks imo. his ball move with ultimate spinner is strong but annoying and unfair

Wrecking Ball, my favorite! I do agree he isn't as strong as other skylanders but I love his animations, his figure, and his attacks are so damn cute. And when I play him I almost feel like I'm playing at Yoshi (as someone else stated).

Yes his attacks are weak and rolling around with him can be a pain but I just love playing as him!

I really liked him once he was upgraded. The tongue action is great, especially because it will retrieve items. Also, the gas that he expels does way more damage than you may realize. Sucks that it takes a while for it to build up, but it is still quicker than some of the other character's "special weapons".

An upgraded Wrecking Ball is an awesome thing. If you go down the Tongue path you'll end up getting +10 life for every item you eat. His soul gem does the same thing except for enemies. You can even eat big enemies when they're down to low health and get a +10 life for them. Basically he eats and heals himself over and over.

Here's the really neat thing tho, on tongue path every item you eat charges up your burp. One item charges it 40 damage and it travels twice as far. Two (or maybe three) turns the burp red, gives it 60 damage, and it goes across the screen and through enemies! This is just his regular belch not the charge-to-explode one. It won't work on Fprcefield path because he can't eat items. So as you eat items launch your belch!

Forcefield path can deal more damage with the exploding forcefield/belch at the end but the startup time and uncontrollable speed makes it kinda hard to play. It's kinda like Ignitor's soul-flame path where he runs around and then explodes but nowhere near as damaging and you're standing right there open for attack if you didn't kill whatever you hit.
