Cynder was a tiny bit of dissapointment her breath power was week her dash didnt do any damage at all. But i dont know which path to go for her is she good... Or is she bad

Weird???? From what I am hearing she is one of the most powerful Skylanders????
Will have to wait till I get her!

Cynder is one of the most powerful PvE and PvP Skylanders and one of the few (only?) who remains that way on both upgrade paths.

However, the current "best" path consensus is that her Lightning path is more powerful than her Dash path.

Cynder with the Nether Wielder path (lightning breath path) is to date one of the most powerful Skylanders in both PvE and PvP.
(I'm referring to the console versions here, I've heard Cynder is more dissapointing in the 3DS version.)

Don't be blinded by the number that pops up for each hit. Her lightning hits in quick succession, and it adds up. Everyone who's touting her merits in this topic is right; Cynder is incredible.

Cynder's lightning is okay. But her ghosts, when fully upgraded, are beast.

I've got her fully upgraded along the lightning path and can take out the three minions at the end of a Kaos fight in somewhere between 5 and 10 seconds with her. She's insanely powerful.

The biggest disappointment I have with Cynder is the fact that it is missing from my collection.

Aaaand what does that have to do with the topic? The OP was asking if Cynder in Skylanders is a strong skylander to use or not. Not asking what your opinion on the actual character is.

Also, man, all this is making me wish I had the game. I've got Cynder, Bash, and Sonic Boom's figures, but no way to play the game.

I'm still takin' notes for all these upgrade paths to choose, though....

is cynder really so good? i don't have her, but the lighting attack sounds like the prism break or double trouble one. it's better? or is the dash move what makes her a top character?

I'd describe Cynder as an AOE character. That's "Area of Effect" for those who don't know. Basically, the character's attack by itself is weak, but covers a lot of ground, and can hit multiple enemies at once, for an extended period of time. Her black lightning upgrade is especially nice when combined with her flight. All in all, I think the dragons in this game are quite powerful -- some just need a few upgrades.
