hi i'm new and i want to make a topic about the skylanders you used to hate or dislike, but you started to like them after playing some games
i hated stump smash and voodood. i thought stump smash was a ugly boring tree and voodood was simply awful.
then i bough them (the 3 packs). i liked stump smash a lot. he wasn't so ugly and was very tall. when he level up he became HUGE! his gameplay is also cool. he does nice damage (his first combo is slow, but is 30+30+90 damage) and i love to pretend i'm a meelee character, but my real weapons are the acorns: little acorns slow enemies (on wii they are quite annoying), take the enemies's attention and deal also some damage. the big acorn protect me and deal like 60 damage if i throw it. i had an epic match against flameslinger, where his arrow hitted my acorns insted of me and slowed him a lot of time, hitting him with few stumps until i killed him. so funny
the other one is voodood. yeah, i know, he's ugly. but he is also so strong. not like stealth elf, but he's the second meelee character imo. i don't remember his damage exactly, but with the marauder path hiscombo deals like 45+45+90 damge and the aoe one 45+45+60. his fun to catch enemies with zipline axe, and the traps are a very nice defending moves. he is probably my favourite now (tied with dino-rang)
now i want to buy chop-chop, even if a lot of people dislikes him.
if you have some experiences like these, i'd like to hear them .

I used to dislike the way Boomer, Prism Break, Stump Smash, and Vodood looked but once I played them, they turned out to be great characters and quite powerful. I guess you can't judge a Skylander by it's cover, or in this case, solely on its looks.

I like Wrecking Ball... He's a lot of fun. Did not think I'd like him as much as I do.

Voodood is still my vote for the overall best Magic champion, even with all others released. You can't judge a book by its cover. I, too, hated him to begin with, but now guess who opens magic doors for me.

^ Wrecking Ball looks better in-game than his figure but I wish that it wasn't so difficult to control his rolling attack, even with the upgrade, it's still kind of difficult to control it. Maybe I'm just not good at steering altogether?

Edit: Yeah, Vodood is my new favorite magic Skylander due to how powerful he is but I still like playing as Dark Spyro because he looks cool and he's fun to play as.

It's quirky... What I found to make it easier is to wait a little bit... You can't start steering him too early or it goes off in a seemingly random direction and you are constantly trying to over correct. Hold steady until he just starts to move and your aim might be better.

I wasn't too keen on Wrecking Ball and Voodood, but they are very good.

I bought Chop Chop, thinking how cool he would be. But then I realized he wasn't all that great, with his weak attacks and far knock back after his shield is struck ... But then I upgraded him like hell, and now he's one of my favs!

I really didn't like Wreaking Ball or Boomer but they are both really good characters if you play them right.
