Have any of you ever thought of new possible elements skylanders will have in the future? I did some brainstorming and thought of a few possibilities like: ice, electricity, time, space, light, dark, psy, and poison. Do think these can make awesome new skylander elements? I would also love to know of any new elements you could see in future skylanders games.

Some of those are Pokemon-ish. Storm instead of electricity. Time and space is a good idea. Creature? You know like Elves and more human-ish skylanders.
More elements means more Skylanders!

Ice and electricity are already classified under water and wind. As for light and Dark, we already have life and death, which can be kinda the same depending on how you spin it. They could also go under magic if you wanted. As for Space it's a neat Idea, but IDK what Space element would do. As for time, also kinda cool, but I don't see much for it other than slowing/stopping time, which could go under magic.

I guess Space could include other dimensions and stuff...

As for Psychic, that could work as its own element, but again, it seems kinda similar to magic. However, It'd be cool to see a charcter that can enter an enemies mind and deal with it that way.

The magic element makes new elements hard, since magic can be used for nearly anything.

I do realize some are kinda Pokemon like, but I do remember finding a story scroll saying there were 2 skylander elders of the light and dark element. That's why I went with those.

Psychic Skylanders could possess enemies and play as them.

That'd be neat.

Considering all the types do is open up gates, I don't really think there's a need to add any more. There's no notion of "type advantage" like in Pokemon.

The different types make the game more fun!

^ Yes there is a slight type advantage similiar to the set up in Pokemon. Water beats Fire ext.

On W101, Ice beats Fire, Death beats Life, ect. Is that Pokemon?

Honestly, I couldn't give one flip about Pokemon, just saying. It's just... annoying.

I think they should have a special line of Legendaries.. like have them as their own element.

They've rounded out the bases for the most part. Really the only thing I could see them doing would be like Time/Space. Storm works in with Wind element, Psychic works in with the magic element, etc.

I don't think we need more elements.

^ No, the link that I provided is about the Skylanders weakness/strengths against other elements and not Pokemon. Pokemon's set-up is a little different but similair.

A light element would be cool, but no other new elements. Anything else would be too similar to the current ones (Undead=dark, water=ice,), oh, and I like the idea of a time element too. That would be neat.

How about the food group element? Bread Brawler, Meat Masher, Fruit Flinger, and Deadly Dairy.

I don't see how light is like the life element. Doesn't life have to do with the forest kinda?

Without light, there would be no life.

If you read the story scrolls in the first game, you would know that there are more elements. There are elder elementals, which use light and darkness.

A light element can have you control solar powers while a dark element can have you use lunar powers. There has to be a dark and light element considering what the story scroll says. A poison element could have you poison an enemy having it take damage little by little. Time won't only control the speeding and slowing of time but also have you use clocks and time related items as weapons, (a little corny but pretty cool too.) Space can have you use the planets and stars as weapons and distort the playing field as well (other dimensions). Psy can have you teleport from one area to another, like through walls and stuff. Finally, although ice and electricity have sorta been used by the air and water elements, a seperate element of each could allow for paralysis and freezing, (maybe instead of ice it could be called snow and instead of electricity it could be static.)

Seems like they already have these covered.

Maybe instead of new elements we add in the consideration for Sub-elements among the eight existing ones. This makes both sides happy? The original eight stay in tact but they are now more in depth with sub-types.

Subtypes sound a little too complicated. I do think we should keep the old elements as well as a a few new ones.

i have already started to create some new skylanders from 2 new elements such as acid and poison i just dont know what kind of characters i can create.

No, no, no. The third attack (upgrade) has the polyester Skylander spit out a disco ball that hovers over the enemy. Then the Skylander dances around him, causing major damage. Mostly to the enemy's eyes and ears for having to watch and listen to disco.

And the character challenge is called "Staying Alive" where you have to dodge attacks for a extended amount of time. Ha!

I would love to see pics of the 2 new skylanders of the acid and poison element! You could create acid and poison dragons.

If there are new elements then there would have to be new creatures too, (angels, devils, etc). Any ideas?

In general, does anyone think adding some new elements is a good idea?

For a sequal I think one new element is acceptable but anything more han that is unnecessary. I for one would like to see 6 of a new element in a sequal plus 2 to each of the already existing elements. 22 new skylanders seems fair for the next game

I think that sounds excessive, personally. Unless my son was REALLY convincing, we would just get some of the new element(s) and be done with it.

Hmm it may be a little excessive, ok maybe 1 new one in each element. I feel like all elements should have the same amount of skylanders minus the legendaries and dark ones. That being said i feel that only 4 new skylanders for a sequal is far too few expesialy for activisions taste. So five of a new element plus one for each existing one would be 13 new figures if my math is right, but i think activision will be trying to get as much money as possible. One thing for sure though is they shouldnt have as many charactors as the have in the first one

I think cross-over elements would be cool. Like a new zombie Stealth Elf with the undead element or a Spyro with the water element using his ice breath from previous games.

Criss cross elements do sound cool! I personally would love to see new dragons of new elements, I'm one of those people who like to collect different characters from different elements that are unified in some way (like dragons: spyro, zap, bash, etc.)

I was thinking that they would have elementals as well. Like wasn't Hex a Death elemental? Shouldn't they make an elemental for each element?
