What is the best upgrade path for him

Dosen't matter much. Whatever looks cool to you.

I chose ice prism path because I have enough skylanders that just melee people.

I chose the Blizzard Brawler path. He gets a nice chunk of armor (for whatever reason, he has really low armor...I don't know why), and he gets those cool looking ice spikes oh his shoulders.

how much damage does his fists do down that path?

Ummm... Hmm.
I'd have to go look but I'm pretty sure it's like 30 or 35 points per hit. If you keep hitting, he'll keep knocking!
