Looks to me like out of the ones they chose to make special, they chose ones that were generally not incredibly favored.

They probably do that to get sales on those figures. They know these won't sell as fast as say Cynder. Just my take on it. Still looks cool though.

The clear blue ones are my favorites, to be honest, but I can imagine them being shot up to a huge price as well.

We don't actually know. The post claims "Next year" meaning this year, but that could really be any time. I'd imagine a good release would be after Wham Shell is out as to keep interest in the series.

Honestly, the blue ones do look good, but that royal blue color is really hard to get exact. The pics are all concept art (And only actually changed from the hue of the picture) so it's actual look will probably be similar to the Water Skylander base/ Slam Bam's body.

Silver ones came about when wave 2 was released right? Gold ones came about when wave 3 was released right? I have a hunch that the clear blue ones will come about when wave 4 is released around easter is it?

I dont care about silvers or gold. I will never pay mega $$$ for an unpainted skylander. Lol These things will not go any higher in value.

Translucent Skylanders are an interesting concept because they remind me of all of Kaos' evil Skylanders.

I only got my mom to buy it cause I really need a life and fire skylander. Plus it'd be nice to have a gold Skylander xp

"It's not worth it" is very subjective and usually untrue.

An Item's worth is exactly what somebody is willing to pay for it.

Would I be willing to pay anything above retail for a Gold or Silver guy? No. Would someone else? Obviously. So to them it's worth it.
