Play testing of Cynder has yielded surprising results. She's as fast as the top-tier speedster characters, her ghosts are better than Ghost Roaster's, and her lightning ability practically engulfs half the screen while doing continuous damage. Even Bash and Drobot might not be this good, as dragons go and that's high praise... We'll see where it goes from here, but those of us who were hoping for her to be garbage will bee sorely disappointed, and those hoping she would kick butt will find her right up their alley. Probably the best Undead champion...

^Dammit. Now you make me want her even more... I still have to wait like a month for her to be in NZ or Aus....

I agree totally. I leveled down the first upgrade path, while my daughter went down the second path. I need to test the second path, but so far she is a beast on all accounts. I bet she's one of those characters that have two good upgrade paths.

Did you hear her voice? Sounds almost like Stealth Elf's.

It does! Her voice is well-done.

Sounds better than Christina Ricci's voice in DotD. I even made a video of her dialogue, but I noticed that she never said her catchphrase.

Gamemaster when did u get cynder? Wow all the people i offered free figures and even money to help me grab a cynder didnt back up their end and help me get one when the tables r turned. My local gamestops get some tomorrow and Ill be fine but helping anyone out on this board is just not going to happen. Everyone seems to be in it either for money or themselves. Im done with posting on this board. Once I get cynder the rest will be easy to come by so I really dont need to be on here anymore anyways. Good luck everyone with hunting down what u need. Hopefully your gamestops will get their shipments in tomorrow of cynder like mine here. I cancelled my amazon order so hopefully one of u can buy it if u need to.

Speaking of awesome vocal work, Double Trouble sings March of the Valkyries in tiki-style gibberish, and hearing that just made the pains of hunting him down melt away. I'm not sure what to think of him as a playable character, but the voice is outstanding.

I got her today. Can't wait to try her out after while.

I'd like to be on your list. You seem to be on your game, and your stores seem to be legit. My stores are absolutely crap with no good shipments coming in...

Your list is probably already long but i figured id pitch in my 2 cents and see if I could get some help. I feel pathetic.

Speaking of Cynder, she doesn't seem to be able to go through any of the teleports in the spider killing Heroic Challenge. Is anyone else experiencing the same phenomenon? This is completely strange. (PS3 version)

Florida isn't doing too hot, to be honest. I called 13 stores today and got a whole lot of nothing and try backs.

Yeah...my gamestop next to my house said she expects shipment in Tuesday, and she seemed kinda confident. Im hoping she's right, if so there are two gamestops near my university I can go to, and have my brother go to the one by my house if possible for him.

Im kinda hoping they get shipment in at 12 and dont unpack the boxes so that i'll call and theyll be in the back room so no one can buy them!

That would be good. The Gamestops in my area are saying to try Wednesday.

Man I have to agree.... Cynder a beast in the game, one of the best for sure. She has a speed charge like Drill Sgr.

Or some of the other portals in the other HC. Tried our boxed Cynder and she is the same; not able to go through HC portals (the pink ones.) I hope they can fix this or figure out why she won't do it.

Which path? We've only had time to try Nether Welder so far, and it's quite impressive, but on the same token, I can't imagine her ghost path being less than amazing either.

I took the same path also... I will try the other path later this week.

I agree. Cynder is really powerful. She has some really nice attacks. My only dilemma is deciding which upgrade path I want to go with her.

I think she has a considerable learning curve; she can't just wade into the middle of a swarm of enemies and hope to come out of it okay (which Stealth Elf can do with no problem!). Her damage is on the low end and the attack rate for her lightning breath is rather sluggish (and it slows her down while she's using it). She's a little reminiscent of Drill Sergeant to me but she has a lot of advantages in the form of a) flight, b) automatic damage (her ghosts!) c) small size and d) the ability to PASS THROUGH ENEMIES with her shadow dash move.

The ghost path is very powerful. None of her hits do much damage that way, but between the ghosts littered all over the field and the ability to tack on extra hits with the shadow dash and her ghost bodyguard, she does very well for herself.

Yeah. She fits my style of gameplay. I barely had any problems with any of the Heroic Challenges using her.

She is absolutely fantastic. I don't consider myself very good at video games in general any more but with the exception of the purple Chompy Heroic Challenge I've achieved everything I've tried using her with incredible ease.

I'm using the PS3 version and was able to clear all of the Heroic Challenges on her already, the teleporters worked fine for me. I wonder if they shipped off some buggy figurines?

At any rate though she's incredibly powerful on the Nether Welder path.

Purple Chompies are a bit of a pain with her though, but what I did was just let a few of the purple ones that were in the way latch on to me and then rushed through killing the rest of the green chompies before they killed me lol...
