We all know Walmart and Best Buy leaked the new characters early, but will stores like Target and Toys R Us put out the new guys tomorrow? Do they already have them in the back? What's your opinion on this? Do you recommend getting to Target early before they open the doors, or will it end up a wasted trip?

Maybe, maybe not. I'm betting Target doesn't have them tomorrow; Sunday is an odd day to unpack. However, you never know...

One way or another, they'll be common soon enough.

I'm not so sure they'll be common. Look at the Legendary pack, which I still need.

The Legendary pack was conceived from the start to be limited edition, as far as I can tell. These are just standard characters. Remember how hard it was to get Hex, Dino Rang and Wrecking Ball? This = that. Just give it time.

All the gamestops and walmart here already released and sold out of the new wave, Target was only place that is totally unstocked, was hoping for tomorrow as well

Monday seems more likly then sunday. But hey i'm still checking stores tomorrow.I'm still a skylander nut of course LOL :-)

I know stores won't get them tomorrow, but if they have them already and were waiting on a certain day, it may be tomorrow. That's what I'm hoping for.

Don't forget about Toys R Us. Expect them to be stocked enormously when the "official" date hits. Since its inception, no store has offered CLOSE to as many Skylanders figures.

I don't understand why people are thinking this.

Just because they said mid-January, doesn't mean it's a hard street date. An Activision rep I talked to on the phone told me when stores get stock, there's a chance it will be new stuff. I have to just keep checking back.

I wish these had hard street dates, then everyone would know when they could get them.

Yeah, I agree. If they had a street date everybody would have an equal chance, and if people weren't there when they opened, it's there fault if they miss it.

^Agreed with P1anet Fun....Who knows how many stores could already have them in the back..... but they might have a sticker on them saying not for sale till after January 15th???? Who knows?????

I'm debating if I should go to Target early tomorrow morning. I was just there and they didn't have any Skylanders, but if they are holding them, they'll put them out by tomorrow. I don't know.

It's close, but the real question is do I want to wake up before 8 AM on a Sunday haha. If I knew they would have them, I would, but we're unsure.

Hello all, first post, just joined recently, but wanted to share what info I had. I've been of course looking for more figures everyday I work, I work at a Target and have been checking out counts and the info I have access to, to see if any are on their way. We have a way of seeing if any are on the way to the warehouse, or from the warehouse to the store. Sadly, I've yet to see any numbers pop up in those places The last time we received any was Dec 23, I think.

I'll keep ya posted though, trust me I scan the empty spots everyday to see if anything is even on the way lol.

I am going to ignore this and still get up early and camp out infront of target tomorrow. With my 9ers winning and how good I am feeling, I have to go. It just feels right.

I think it all varies from store to store.....you can't think that all Targets will behave the same as all other Targets.

My local Gamestops all got one or two of the Empire of Ice and Double Trouble 3-packs.

Best Buys in the Greenville, SC area got the Empire of Ice Adventure set.

The Target in my town got one of the Empire of Ice and a bunch of the Hex/Dino Rang singles case.

Target unloads their trucks at night. So the best time to call is when they first opwn. They close at 10 and unload trucks til 4 a.m. wal mart unloads at the same time but they are open 24/7. Target usually is the last place to get anything in as well. They never have anything new in my area until the actual release dates bc they have a whole team dedicated to not releasing things early. However idiot emplorees that work during nornal hours if they are sent to restock they just grab whatever.

I spoke to a TRU guy today while on the hunt. He told me to check back on Tuesday or Thursday. As with all store employees, take this with a grain of salt and it could be just this particular store. I'm still going to target in the AM, but TRU is a good enough for me to set my next hopes on should plan A be a bust.

Gamestop said the same thing and if TRU is saying that then most stores are probably holding out til the 16th or 24th like they are suppose to.

My walmart said they had cynder in the back but that they couldn't bring out the box.

Is that why I always see them restocking on wave 2?

It's true that Targets unload trucks after the store closes at night. Doesn't mean Skylanders is on it. They get a truck in every night.

I dont know if anyone read my thread I posted earlier but...

i went to about 5 gamestops today. Basically every gamestop in my area got a 3 pack with Whirlwind in it last night. They sold out within the first hour this morning. One literally 5 seconds before I could get it.

I dont think any stores have any boxes in the back with a "Hold until" date on them. I thin Activision literally is just trickling them out little by little and the stores geniunely dont know what and when theyre getting.

I called a whole bunch of stores today also. None the less, I guess i'll try Target and Walmart and TRU tomorrow. Gamestop wont have them. They dont get shipments in over the weekend.

no all Target stores are NOT on the same delivery schedule, and I can only look at stock coming in for my store and the 6 stores surrounding mine (IL/IA region) We get the people asking though almost everyday, keep checking though- I know I'm still checking all around here too- the only place I've seen them recenlty are the two TRU stores, and they both only have Boomer.

This wave will be harder to get than the wave 2. The game is more popular since Christmas, not that more kids own the game. More scalpers are out there because of this, and Cynder is in the wave, a new expansion too. Because of all that, this wave is harder to get...

Hubby on should be at Target any minute...they had nothing yesterday fingers crossed!!

I feel like blowing my top! I'm just a kid so I can't drive myself to stores to check for wave 3! Tommorow I think my mom will take me to target toys r us and gamestop. Also don't forget that bestbuy sells them too.

My Target got a large shipment of Wave 2 (about 6 cases) and all they got are 3 Boomers. Nothing new today?

my store is receiving some! we are getting 6 triple packs tomorrow and 12 single packs on wed, or maybe Friday, depending on how long the warehouse takes to pack 'em up. But still exciting to see them finally coming back in. Keep checking your stores, they are coming

One of the Targets near me told me they have a shipment scheduled for Friday the 20th. Who knows if that is true or not, but I'm pretty sure no one is getting any tomorrow (16th)

Don't think so. Trucks are not arriving on weekend days (gamestop confirmed no shipments on sat/sun/holidays). We are going out anyway tho to TRU at opening to make sure. ;-)

Our target in Northern Indiana had nothing on shelves when they opened yesterday. Decided to run over ther at lunch and to my complete surprise found the wave 3 triple pack. They had the older adventure packs but not EOI so I was too late for that. They still had triple packs of wave 2 also.

Saw on Target.com that one near me had some stock though they didn't say which ones. I just drove there and they had more than I'd seen in a long time but they were the same ones Amazon had the other day, nothing new. Drobot, Bash, Prism Break, Voodood. That's it. Another shipment is supposed to be there Friday.
