i talked to someone who worked at my gamestop. he said that they would recive an skylanders adventure pack. they didn't have the exact date, but it would probably be at the end of december or january february. or mabye even next year, he said. they also didnt know witch adventure pack they would recive, but it was an adventure pack all right.

witch means, one of the adventure packs will come out at the end of december or january/february mabye.

In my gamestop there is that thing too but it's just to you give that to the employer and he goes to get the game.

My GameStop has cards which you give to the employee to exchange for the game.

I think it's just used or they ran out of space for the full box. GameStop's practice of putting out an empty game to prevent stealing isn't exactly easy with a set.

My Gamestop has the actual boxes out...............which are empty.

@LyraDragon: In any video game store I've been to, if a peripheral based game is to be displayed on the "Top 10" section of the shop, they usually just get a normal box with promotional art of the game. Also happens with Collectors Editions.

It's likely the case here. They probably aren't selling the game alone, but are just putting it on display without all of the big boxes.

So the Skylanders Facebook page has uploaded a picture of Double Trouble with a caption 'contest'. If we go with the "Facebook announces next figures" view, he could be in the next wave.

But who knows, really.

Oh, and it seems the Skylanders website got an update. Plays the cinematic Beginning trailer before taking you to the portal, and Spyro's Universe has gone through some awesome upgrades! Check it out!

Nah, I don't think that's valid. Their video is supposed to go public before we can essentially confirm.

Love the winter update on Spyro's Universe. Very festive and beautiful! Like the new game, though it gets tough at times when you're overwhelmed.

Now I wish I didn't buy Whirlwind off ebay, so I could get this three pack.

Then again, another Whirlwind would be a good gift to someone.

I wonder if the next wave will be just those 3, or it will include Double Trouble and 2 other unreleased characters. Whirlwind and Drill have already been technically released, even though they were exclusives.

For me is just one more new character since here in Portugal there are not exclusives and Whirlwind and Drill Seargent are in every place!!

Damn. I was hoping for something a little more interesting than that... Only really 1 new one.

Is this all they'll be releasing, or will there be more?

We're not sure yet. Hopefully they will also release other unreleased character(s) along with Double Trouble. Maybe an Adventure Pack? That would be cool. But nobody knows for sure.

So we're getting a 3-pack of limited editions. If this doesn't make you skepticals believe that FB is ultimately linked to the release of Skylanders, I don't know what will.

Now can we get an Adventure Pack? :/

Too many 'Skylander vs. Skylander' topics, too many 'short titled topics' three times in a row.

Really weird, one day we get really cool and friendly adults and the other we get kids who are just annoying us to no ends :/

I may be a kid (12 years old) but I don't do many topics, I think I only have done 3 ( don't know ).
So, don't judge all the kids in this forum.

Nobody is judging all kids in this forum. A person's contributions are, and will continue to be, based on the substance of their posts and nothing else. However, what everyone is saying is actually a fair generalization, and most of this current flood of frivolous posting is usually a product of the younger users here. That's all. Nobody is blaming you just because you're a kid who plays Skylanders; that's what the game was made for, to be honest. It's just that there's also some allure for parents like myself, and other adults, to get involved and enjoy it for their own reasons.

I'm 13, but hopefully I'm not one of the "annoying children"...

Frankly, these wave of topics aren't serious questions being asked. It's just an attempt to get more gems.

That's what most of these new members seem to forget: Gems aren't posts. You can get the max amount of gems in one week simply by visiting and posting once for the entire week. Making more topics or more posts isn't going to raise the count. Kiddies, read the Help Files.

You know that skylanders is tended mostly towards kids so chances are that any chat site about skylanders i bet 60 to 70 percent are kids anywhere from 8 to 18

I do remember when I first ventured on the internet... And I can proudly say that I didn't act like that, and I always read forum rules. And the fact that some of the kids are being mature means that there is no excuse for the others to act like that at all.

It's not this at all for me. It really is a chat site and a game for kids, that's true. The part that bothers me, however, as someone who knew better at their age, is all the topic derailing that's going on. Excitement or not, a topic's a topic, and if a poster, kid or adult, wants to talk about something else, they're free to create their own.

I treat this site like any other forum on the internet, and it has its problems. The new members isn't the biggest problem

If everyone is getting annoyed with all of the 'VS' and 'which upgrade for ----' topics then I think someone should make a 'Skylanders Character Chat' topic, where all that chatty chat about the characters should go :3 I'm too lazy to though...
