I was looking at Skylanders pics on the net, and ran across this.

Look at how different the bangs are for Stealth Elf.

I looked at my open Stealth Elf and sealed single pack, and sure enough, my opened one looks like the one on the right, while my sealed single pack looks like the one on the left.

The picture doesn't show, but the one on the left also has thick black streaksin her hair, while the one on the right are barely visible.

Once I was in J-B-HiFi and there were three Boomers in a row, and each one had their mouths open a different ammount.

Well I suppose you never see any two exactly the same when they are models or toys. They are always different ;3

This. Pretty much all figures have minor differences like these, not really a variant :3

It's mostly the painting job I think

Well, here's what I noticed.

My oldest and youngest daughters both have Stealth Elf. They got the single pack version, and like my sealed single pack version, they ALL look like the one on the left, in that pic.

However, my Stealth Elf that's opened, came from the 3DS version, which looks like the one on the right. So I took a look at the one my son is getting for Christmas, and sure enough his Stealth Elf inside his 3DS packaging looks like my opened one, the one on the right. This got me even more curious, so I dug out my sealed 3DS version I just bought. Sure enough, it looks like the version on the right, in that pic, my opened Stealth Elf, and my sons Stealth Elf still inside his 3DS packaging.

Who knows. Maybe it's just a running change.

yeah there is a difference the neck is longer on one of mine and the color is also more brownish on the pants..

That's really interesting. Might have to compare mine with my friend's, since I got the 3DS one and he got the single-pack one.

Yeah, I think the one in the 3DS version is different than the single pack version.

Maybe it's because the 3DS ones were packed before the Single pack ones. Not the same batch.

I own 5 Charmander figures from Japan, all the same figure, and every one has a slightly different plastic used (some are lighter, some are darker), a little bigger, a little smaller, etc. But they really are just different batches. It's just like plushies - If you look really hard in stores, you'll notice all of them have some small difference, perhaps the eyes aren't as aligned as one, or the arm is longer, etc.
