Apart from the remote possibility of giving people a false sense of anticipation, what are your grounds for complaint? Even then, a rational person would know that all 32 characters have been announced, so it is obviously in jest...

If you can point out how this post was offensive in any manner or form, then I will happily apologise. In fact, I am happy to apologise now, if it helps...

You posted a misleading title and this topic about a new Skylander, and all you posted was a trolling image of a girl you cut and pasted on top of the Hex toy.

As I said before, I perceive that any rational person would know that all 32 chars have been announced already so there is no possibility of announcing any other - it is not as if I tried to imply that there is some variant of an existing figurine.

And, for the record, the head is Lindsay Lohan, hence my name choice and reference to orange jumpsuits.

I also not aware of a Stuff and Nonsense forum but, even then, it is really a Skylander-related joke and not relevant to Syro afficiandos?

Okay, re-titled for those who perceive that it requires it.

This forum is about a computer game; to me threads such as "If you were a skylander..." and "Couples" are just as nonsensical as my whimsy. I can foresee that some will disagree but I stand by that premise.

I actually made this post in a feeble attempt to alleviate the tension, somewhat. I have seen some tense posts lately and antagonism in other threads about wave 3 deadline/due dates, etc. I just want people to relax and enjoy the ride (and possibly poke a tiny bit of fun in topical Lindsay's direction in the process).

By the time me and paris posted on this topic earlier, chaosworrier had the title of the topic as: 'New Skylanders character: Lindloh', and afterwards, he changed the title.

The point of it though, is that now... it's not funny. =P There's a point to the title.

If it was left the way it originally was, odds are I would've found it funny when I clicked on it. But when I did, it already had "Skylanders Humour" in the title, spoiling the surprise and rendering the joke unfunny to me.

And odds are that some younger fans who don't understand the humor in the topic will rage. Chaos already changed the topic title, unless you guys really want him to change it back to its original title just to hide the humor.

Aura's right. Im a younger fan and I actully got excited about this beacuse I thought Activison was realising a exlclusive skylander for christmas. The topic's name ticked me off. It was a joke I get that. But the joke was misleading.

That's the purpose of inside jokes. People that don't hang around that subject/area/etc won't get it, while people that know the subject matter will have a riot. If a kid rages simply because they don't get a joke, and they don't ask someone what it is, then that's their fault, not the topic maker's. If the fault went to the creator of the topic, then I'd be in trouble a billion times over, because I make far too many inside jokes for my own good.

I agree that it would be at the reader's expense if they didn't make the effort to understand a joke, inside or not. Don't destroy good fun for those that are mature enough and knowledgeable enough to handle it; dumbing things down for people and having to point out that something is a joke is the reason for many of the problems of today's society. Everyone is so obsessed about political correctness that we have to apologize for our jokes now. Haha, I wished it were ten years ago, before being witty, entertaining and interesting were offensive.

In no way am I claiming it to be true, but a person could actually claim that some of the responses were troll-like in how they were trying to elicit an emotional response.

I also, respectfully, would not mind in finding out parisruelz12's age as my 7 year old son knows who Lindsay Lohan is.

To clarify, I also consciously made the joke family friendly as my original thought was to mention her recent Hugh-Hefner magazine related activity rather than the orange jumpsuit line.
