Sure, do you mind if I give you the link tomorrow?
I have to hunt it down in my history, and I'm tired.

The Dragon Realms is an ENTIRELY different universe than ours. It's like a seperate realm. How is that hard to understand? It's like the alternate reality thing. This time, Skylanders is taking place in OUR UNIVERSE, in a different galaxy than the Milky Way, though.

So, just because the marketing ploy calls for Skylanders toys to be in 'our' universe makes it not the same universe as other games? You could easily make a bid that all Spyro games happen in 'our' universe, just in different places and points in time. And besides, no two Spyro games have the same in-game realms that suggest any of them relate with one another. The only factor that connects the games together is the characters and the characters' dialog. Other than that, every Spyro game has different lands. The only thing I can think of would be Avalar, which originally was an entire kingdom of creatures but was changed to a garden-like valley in LoS, and it was only one level in DotD. |

Uhm... duh? But that's just my opinion. Skylanders is in our Universe, The Dragon Realms (ALL THE OTHER GAMES) is in their's. In my world, the planet where TLoS took place was the home world from all the Dragon Realms - Terra. But that's just me. If you want to be boring, go ahead.

It seems to me that Skylanders is in some way connected to LoS, and no, I am not trying to connect it but this is just what it seems to me.
After reading the back stories, it does seem to me it is in a way connected to LoS, or they just ripped it off... |

The backstories of Spyro and Cynder in Skylanders are just based on their LoS counterpart's stories.

^ This. Again, it's just a reference from LoS to please the LoS fans.
It's not connected. The game is a whole different series from LoS. Also, sorry for forgetting about the picture, Jackson, I'll try and find it sometime after school!

I guess my perspective on Spyro games, especially the more recent ones, has told me to screw canon for Spyro the dragon, and use my imagination to enjoy the games. I feel that this is why I was able to enjoy LoS more than others. Forgive me if my imagination 'desperately' wants to connect LoS canon with Skylander's new home for Spyro. A lot could be told. And since the chances of Activision investing in a deep story for the purple dragon seem slim, I might as well create one myself.

Oh, I'm not discouraging you from making a fictional timeline and fanfictions and such for the game, am I?
Terribly sorry if I am. My point is that they aren't canon, and people ARE treating them as canon, so that's what I mean. Fanfictions are fine with me. I have no control over what you guys want to make up.

No, the only thing that bothers me is when people prove to me that they aren't thinking straight when they ask the question: "Why doesn't Spyro have his fury breathe like he has in DotD?" And I haven't heard anything like that from most people.
