I'm really wondering how things will turn out if they make a video game based off of the most popular Skylander. Other than Spyro that is.

I know that they won't make it, but every skylander should get his/her own game (ok... most of them)

They probably won't make it.

HOWEVER, that would be a brilliant idea. I actually kinda hope they do make a whole game for all 32 Skylanders (also make the legendary forms or dark forms of some Skylanders as optional form when you get farther in the game).

If you looked at some of their backstories, you can see that the backstories could be good sequels and prequels for a whole game for each of them. Some of them need more attention as well (Wham-Shell, Double Trouble, etc.).

If there was a game for every Skylander I would couple them. Like Spyro and Cynder, Whirlwind and Sunburn, Hex and Ghost Roaster, Flameslinger and Stealth Elf,...
I think some of the Skylanders would make a cute couple and should get a common story.

That would be a good idea, especially for people who like coupling them.

That'd be nice, although I admit I personally hate Spyro x Cynder...

A whole game about the best skylander ever; aka a Wrecking Ball video game? I don't know if people could handle that much burping and face-smashing in one video game! Jk...I know wrecking ball is far from the peoples' favorite, but he is mine!

It would be cool to see some spinoffs though and weird pair-ups (Flameslinger and Steatlh Elf...or how about Wrecking Ball and Ghost Roaster? Roaster being the serious character and Ball being the comedic relief). However, it's more than likely we'll just get a sequel with "Kaos returns!!" and some new characters and features added. But I'm not complaining, I would love even just that!

after they have sold skylanders for a while. they could take the most sold and popular figurine and make a game for it... if they then again make you connect the skylander portal and you can use your figurine in that game. i think it would be cool....

if you take wrecking ball for example, they could build a home planet for him and allot of new wrecking balls with different powers etc... and sell them for that game... possibility is endless here.

I already coupled Sunburn and Sonic Boom some weeks ago, when I bought the game and checked which Skylanders I want to have. I thought they woud fit together cuz they're both half birds. I also coupled Zap and Whirlwind.
But when I looked on Whirlwind's and Sunburn's backstories I coupled them cuz they're both special. Sunburn is the most wanted creature in skylands because of his abilities to teleport and he's the only mixture of phoenix and dragon that exist. Whirlwind is beautiful for the dragons cuz she's half unicorn.
So I dicided to couple Whirlwind & Sunburn

I suppose Drill Seargent's and Terrafin's could be megrged into one though.

And levels about characters back stories? Would love to see how they'd make a level of Wrecking Ball (who is originally a grub) being cooked in a stew and because of some magical error, he turns huge and eats the wizard. Would make a hilarious cut-scene.

Stealth Elf can talk (commercials. Durp.), and in Flame's bio it says that "he thinks he so good w/ his bow he blindfolded himself" so he can still take off the blindfold. And yes, I'm a major shipper of the two, also. <3

And I don't think they should do that... that would be WAAAY too much work. They should only make short cartoons... like a mini series or something on Nickalodeon or Cartoon Network...

Lighten up, if its not obvious I'm a pretty big nerd for this series as well (hense posting here in the first place).

But to people not aware of the series, it would be amusing to see a guy with his eyes covered and a girl with her mouth covered holding hands down the street. Its like "how does THAT work?"

As much as I would love to see character specific levels or even spin off games, I think this is probably the way to go. Given how well Skylanders is doing, it wouldn't be surprising to see a tie-in cartoon. Maybe on the Hub, which is pretty much a channel entirely dedicated to merchandise driven shows anyway.

Because, she suddenly held his hand. If you've ever seen anime, you see that the rectangle things by the side of his head mean he's surprised. Most people put them as triangles, though.

Hex and Ghost Roaster would be pretty hawt.

I also think the cartoon idea makes the most sense but it decides how much Activision is willing to invest in this franchise. With it doing so well and the fact a TV show would attract MORE buyers to the series I don't see why they wouldn't want to do it though.

I was talking to my girlfriend the first or second day of playing the game how awesome of a cartoon Skylanders would be. We already have all these characters we're interested in, they all have backstories and all they would have to do is tie these stories together for an amazing show.

However, if they are planning to make this game just a one-shot (for whatever reason), it's probably too late for them to care whether a cartoon comes out or not because its further investment for a product thats already been out a while. A sequel would motivate them to want to keep people interested in the universe and attract more children to the franchise.

Cartoons are almost always a profitable choice for toy manufacturers. Even if they have an interesting plot and well designed characters, they are really just long toy commercials. Well that's how the industry sees them anyway.

Oh thanks for the positive feedback. I was planning on having him running by and she grabs his hand, but no matter how I sketched it, it looked more funny than sweet. So now he is just walking by and she inconspicuously holds his hand. Kind of like "Wait...."
