I don't know much about the game awards system but I think Skylanders would suitable for a catagory like "Game aimed for a Younger Audience award" rather then game of the year.

I love Skylanders but there are so many other games that would be better for game of the year.

Hey, it's not nominated for GOTY for the whole video game industry, it's GOTY by Toy Industry Association.

You know, like for the movies you have can the Oscars, the Teenchoice movie awards, etc.

You can have several nominations in different award shows/events.

Portal 2 or Forza 4 CAN'T be nominated in GOTY by Toy Industry Association, no link with toys you know.

^It's not like Portal is only for adults and such. The only reason I wouldn't find it kid friendly is because of the high difficulty. Otherwise, Portal 2 is just fine for kids. The worst insult is being called fat and adopted.

I didn't quite miss that part

Point is, since video games became popular, they began being separate items. Games soon equaled to the toys that dance around and such, and video games became...well, video games. Heck, this was the whole point of Skylanders' existence; for kids to experience toys with video games since in the director's opinion, toys are becoming 'extinct' due to video games.

Portal and Forza 4 aren't what you expect kids to be playing, as I said. Toy Industry's GOTY is based heavily on what kids play. There's Uno and toys up in that category, and kids play it. Skylanders is formally aimed at kids, and kids play it, so therefore, it has the qualities to be a candidate to GOTY. It's just that Skylanders won't fare well in an ACTUAL GOTY from things such as IGN.

Hey, Skylanders WAS aimed for kids all this time. The two above mentioned games aren't, to summarize my TL; DR statement.

They became video games, and are also considered works of art. But there are a lot of people that to this day still find video games to simply be expensive toys. And games like Guitar Hero and DDR only help validate their case. Seeing how games are still considered toys by a lot of people, any game could've been nominated for GOTY. Skylanders would be an obvious choice for using statues/figurines. But I still odn't htink it should win GOTY, even from the Toy Industry.

I know several kids that play Forza or Gran Turismo. Kids love cars (as shown by large sales of things like Hotwheels).

The two above mentioned games actually could be directed towards kids, particularly Forza, again because kids love fast cars (so do adults that act like kids). Forza and Gran Turismo may not be aimed directly at kids, but at the same time, it's because their directed towards everyone. That includes kids.

It's her scale pattern that just makes it look like that, Heck Whirlwind would be the same if her scale pattern was like that.

Besides she looks like a freaking Velociraptor I am not joking.

It became very clear that it's her scale pattern. It's that question that simply begs controversy and stupidity at the same time. But then again, I don't tend to think wrong.

Perhaps they gave her that scale pattern to make her look more "feminine", but at the same time not actually giving her breasts.

But that doesn't make sense. Whirlwind is also a female, but she doesn't have the same "breast plate" as Cynders and instead has eyelashes to appear more feminine.

If they really wanted Cynder to be like that, why not just add eyelashes and give her the same belly pattern as the other dragons?

Mike Graham (Cynder's creator) was fully aware of her fanbase years ago and that design is way too suggestive to just be an accident, especially given how micro-managed Skylanders has been from the start. I mean, really, look at this and then tell me with a straight face that isn't on purpose (I will not believe you, incidentally, because those things are huge).

Cynder fans, I know it's pointless to say, but just chill out. Cynder's not the first dragon in history to have boobs and she won't be the last, nor is this a big deal in a kids' product. It's just funny and, frankly, if I had to work on the Spyro franchise and deal with the kind of garbage those guys have to, I'd need a laugh even more than I already need one putting up with the fandom by itself.

Those look like boobs, seriously, but why is it reminding me of Tomb Raider? Reminds me of the times when my Dad used to get Lara up against the wall so the camera would zoom into her boobs, I used to laugh when I was a child, ahh the fun memories...My Dad always found a way to make fun of video games.

That corner-with-camera thing used to happen to me all the time when I played Tomb Raider, though I didn't do it on purpose back then. I think they programmed it like that intentionally.

I find it funny in TRII and III where you can roam around the mansion and hear the Butler fart and bump. Then I lock him in the freezer. They took out all that fun in the newer games, lol. No more crushing ceilings, hardly any boulders, never mind. They're still pretty good though.

Found this on NeoGaf. So maybe the delay was true after all...I call bollocks on Activision for treating this like Pokemon because Pokemon gets 2-4 games each year max (main game, then side games).

To tell the truth, I kinda want it to be delayed. Skylanders alone sucked out my budget for numerous Wii games I wanted (Rayman Origins, Skyward Sword) and I seriously want to take a break so my 3DS can also see the light of being played.

Toys R Us seem to have them in (at least, mine did).

But 30+ full boxes of Skylanders, and not a single silver one. Bah.

It's a scale pattern, but the idea of Cynder having actual breasts is still funny as hell, and I enjoy the reactions people have about it.

But a female dragon does not equal to...certain female parts. A lioness doesn't have breasts, no? Cynder's was a scale pattern. A. SCALE. PATTERN. It doesn't necessarily mean that she has breasts. ...What makes the situation regarding Reshiram even worse is the designers confirmed that they intended it to be female, and that the tuft of fur wasn't a male part, but something else linked to the mythology/philosophy Reshiram and Zekrom were based on.

But of course, people have to be perverts because apparently, it's the only thing that makes them good about themselves. Shameful and sick.
