What does "Skylanders Character Pack II" mean? Walmart has updated their site with all sorts of new Characters such as Warnado, Cynder, Zook, Lightning Rod and a few others. They also listed Whirlwind which is a Target exclusive. All of the figures are listed as preordered apparently.

Or it could give hints that those Skylanders are part of Wave 2. Notice that the II is also part of Dino-Rang, one of our 'released' Skylanders, which means that we're probably going to get those marked with II on the next wave.

...Although I have no idea why characters like Zap are marked II when they're already released...

EDIT: And it also looks like everybody who was an exclusive is now non-exclusive aka Whirlwind, Darklight Crypt, etc.

Zap was probably an early release for people who had the N3DS to get a water Skylander, same could of been said for Sonic Boom as whirlwind would of been hard to get in some places. Explains why they are the ONLY 2 non exclusives not in a triple pack.

Well ignitor is one of the characters listed at $8, so if anyone has the idea of bidding for ignitor on ebay, you might want to withdraw.

In the Tesco catalouge, Whirlwind was only isted as being exclusive 'til December 31st, so I guess that makes sense.

I'm sure it's just the way they list them. Probably to show that the characters are new.

They show Hex, Dino Rang, and Wrecking Ball as being sold in stores.

Honestly, this is the most secure way to get them before this thing takes off. Finding them instores may be a pain in the butt.

Having said that, I preordered 1 of every single pack I need (a total of 7). Whenever they ship, they ship. I'm gaurenteed Warnado, Cynder, Lightning Rod, Double Trouble, Came, Zook, and Wham Shell now. I will purchase a set of these 7 instores to keep sealed. I will open these ones, because Walmart ships things crappy, so I expect the packaging on the characters to look like poo.

HURRY AND RELEASE THEM ALREADY!

Yeah, I knew it would be out sooner or later but I was simply too impatient... <grin!>

Oh that Walmart. Trying to get all the money from other companies, opening up your own healthcare system, treating your employees like garbage, and offering pre-orders for toys that won't be out for several months. Ahahahaha................I hate you Walmart. So much.

Any chance the II indicates a new version of the character? Maybe a different pose or alternate coloring? Just a thought.

i dont really see the point of a different type of an already existing character.

For the same reason people collect the same people on baseball cards, or x-men toys, or Pokemon, or Webkins, or (the list goes on). People collect stuff.

Exactly. Technically you just need one of each type to complete the game 100% right? Yet most of us probably want all of them (and the TRU black friday B1G1 free will help) because they are simply cool. I can definitely see a version of Bash with his horns or maybe Spyro with the giant flaming horns.... I would buy it.
