Ok, so the USB stick plugs into the PS3 into the slot where a second controller is supposed to go... Is there any way to work around that? Is there any way to play 2 player on the PS3???

If you've got some weird unofficial wired PS3 controllers then you'll probably need a USB hub. But if they're official, you don't need to keep them plugged in all the time.

What he's saying is; don't be cheap and get some official controllers. Quote: dark52

You can get an official wireless controller for $55 american. It might be a little pricey, but it will last you forever and the battery life and the wireless capabilities prove almost infinity awesome.

You should have gotten a wireless controller WITH the system in the first place. So only one plug should be needed unless the wireless one ran out of juice.
