Hi guys! I felt it was most appropriate to first introduce myself to the forums and do so in this mini forum since Skylanders has been my 'gateway' into the Spyro universe. (And hoo boy I'm addicted!)

I'm 28 myself and I went out and bought myself the 3DS version along with a couple of single packed figures and the pirate ship on launch day. Since then I've been picking up extras here and there and now have ended up with not only the 3DS version but the Xbox version and a handful of figurines. I'm slowly whittling down the list until I collect them all. The sad thing is I can't use the excuse my kids talked me into it as I don't think they've heard of it (they're my stepkids and don't live with me while they're in school but rather visit me regularly) but I think that they will get a kick out of it and hoping we can share nicely.

I'm a bit disappointed they didn't make a bigger fuss before launch as if I were to know that the Best Buy bundle came with the Volcano Vault I would of bought the 360 version there instead of gamestop. I also wish I would of taken advantage of TRU's big buy 2 get 1 free sale...I could of possibly gotten all the released ones (with exception of Whirlwind and Drill Sargent, of course) for what I've paid for right now.

I've also found myself in the habit of using the 3DS version to do my level grinding to cap to 10 and then using the 360 version to build up coins and unlock their skills in there too. I'm finding that if you have the patience there is PLENTY to do to keep you busy playing the game and absolutely love the whole figurine collecting aspect...just wish it wasn't quite as expensive. This is coming from a poke-addict though and I always want to catch'em all.

Anyways hopefully you don't mind me posting here but I'd like to swap stories and get to meet people first and like I said make a little bit of a formal introduction to those who camp out over here since that's all I've been into Spyro wise so far.

Hopefully together we can figure out the game. I'm still having a heck of a time finding some of the legendary treasures...which surprises me. The second level I can see it beyond the gate but haven't figured out how to open it.

I've heard you need a life skylander for it. I don't have one my possession so I can't get it. But it looks like you need to fall down from somewhere in order to get it.

I'm trying to get a Skylander for all of the elements before I go and get the game. I'm just doing an online version right now to get a headstart with leveling.

So far Spyro, Stealth Elf, and Drobot are leveled evenly up to 6 or 7. (I have Stealth and Drobot in my very possesion right now.)

Anyways, welcome to the Spyro Universe! Hope you can find some of the classics and the legend series to play.

Though, wait, if you level up a Skylander on the Universe then buy the game with said Skylander, can you... put those levels on that Skylander? :/

You should know that the online game isn't the same, level-wise. Your web level does not become your in-game level on a console. When you port them over the the Wii or what have you, they will be level one, but it will display your web adventure level as well, though it doesn't actually count for anything.

Of course.

Not at all. Those levels are not the same than in-game.

There's a place in-game where you can see the levels you have online, but nothing more.

As I said... In the game, you can see the levels you have online but it won't change the game. It will be just an information on your Skylander, nothing more.

So, even if your Stealth Elf is level 50 in the web game, you will still start a level 0 in the game, but you'll be able to see that your toy is level 50 in the web game.

Hey, nice intro. My wife and I play the game together. I'm 28 and she's 27. Our kid is 1 & 1/2 and he still has fun holding and throwing my characters. He gets a kick out of the packages when I bring new figs home. He gets excited.

Yo, new here myself. I've had some previous experiences with Spyro (playing part of the first game along with the GBA games)
Anyways, I'm 26, have enjoyed playing Skylanders for a day and a half,batteries keep dying on me,have the PS3 edition.
Uh,if you want to know anything else, ask I guess, very few things I keep secret about myself. As you can tell by my screen name, I'm a big Ghostbusters fan, I guess that's all for now. Later

@Reimu - thanks but since I'm really only ever checking this one sub forum, I thought it more appropriate to make an introduction here rather than there...
