I am a mini war game person and I was looking at some missed areas on my gill grunt. I began to think about modding them in looks fixing paint and adding more details has anyone else felt the same.

I will make sure to post pictures if I do.

I was thinking it was only a matter of time before people got this idea.

Yeah, I for one would REALLY like to fix the textures and shading on Kaos if I only knew how. Presently he looks like ke's amde of porcelain, or really wet and shiney plastic maybe. It's just plain bad...

How so? It's not illegal, once you paid for the game it's yours and you can do what you like with it outside of selling bootleg copies or putting online for free download. Making your own mods or using someone else's is up to you and perfectly legal.

Take People mod warhammer minis all the time GW encourages that by giving you extra bits.

Might do this to Gill grunt
Repaint the barrel on his back Ad some detal to what he is wearing give him a touch up

Ad a watered down blue(maybe) to the fish scales or dry brush in some kinda sea green.

last thing id do would be to ad detal to his base going to a aquarium store buying a small pack of plants

They mean modifying the figures themselves. For example, changing the colour of the figures.

Implying that changing the colour of the toys has anything to do with modding the game; there's a large step between re-painting figures and modding entire lines of code.

Clarify what I mean by modding. Mini war game figures come on blank black bases. Example a basic space marine comes on a 30mm base. Some people will take their basic space marine and change it modding it making it look like it has more action. By good example the base will have a battlefield action look taking a leg off the space marine and making a clay one in a stepping position. Then adding a ork cut in half with his guts spilled out over the base.

Mods for the game is meh I much rather see some dlc
for online battles

i know that!! i am ONLY ASKING, if and when, people are goint to hack the game. painting the figures is a good idea too. cant you use warhammer paint?

But if you paint your skylander and it stops working (because that happens sometimes) I doubt you'll be able to return it.

I don't think painting it will voids it's warranty...

You'll be painting it for the fun and enjoyment. If it apps working its still a piece of art.

The devs would love to see your re-paintings of the skylanders!

The data is all stored in a thin film inside the base of the character - Painting shouldn't break anything but just in case i would refrain from painting the bottom.

Well when i get my paint station up Ill do it. Also when I got the game my trigger happy didnt work and I called up act and they are sending me a new one.
