So I have heard many people arguing about if they would buy the game if Spyro was in it or not. I know that a lot of you think that Activision and Toys for Bob are just "using" Spyro for money.

For me, Skylanders is a must have game for me. Surprisingly, if Spyro wasn't in it, it may have been on my maybe not list.

If Spyro wasn't in Skylanders, would you buy it? Hmm.....

Probably because it's an innovative idea. However, I probably wouldn't have known about it if Spyro wasn't in it. That's the only reason why Spyro was added to the game, so people would notice it and it got attention; both good and bad.

I see this game as a guilty pleasure. I'm getting it because there hasn't been any good Spyro games since AHT. Therefore if Spyro wasn't in it, I would probably avoid it.

I don't think so, mostly because of how expensive it is. I'm still debating whether to buy it or not at all, again because of expense. I probably would have passed it off as another gimmicky kids game, which it still is, but having Spyro in it at least makes me more comfortable in buying a character I already know, rather than investing in something 100% new.

First off, I'd never know about it, because this site would never know about it. So no.

If it didn't have spyro, I probably wouldn't have known about the game unless I saw it on the shelf.

I likely would, but at a later time. I love the toy concept and all, but Spyro (and I admit it; Cynder and other returning characters) are the icing on the cake for me.

Like Aura24, I, too, would still find it interesting, but I most likely wouldn't buy it if Spyro wasn't in it.

I have to say yes, probably because I'm not buying it because of Spyro anyway. I wasn't too impressed when I first saw the new characters, but I started to get interested when I saw Sonic Boom. Then Whirlwind. And now Sunburn. I'm getting it for those three, getting Cynder for my friend(I decided this one, since she loves reptiles, the color purple and has big breasts, it has nothing to do with the actual character herself, heck I might get her Hex too or Stealth Elf)and Bash and Camo for my reptile and nature loving friend. We're all video game derps so we'll have a lot of fun with this, it's hard to find a game we don't like.

I'm glad I found the game itself because of Spyro, but I'm not getting it for him. Love his voice though.

To be honest, yes, as I don't really like buying games 'just because this character is in it'. I do actually like the idea of Skylanders in general, and anything with such a large array of characters is appealing to me.

I'd still be looking into it, and probably getting the 3DS version, much like I already am with Spyro in it.

1. I wouldn't have heard of it
2. I wouldn't have noticed it (Spyro grabbed my attention, I do love the other characters though)
3. I have 180 dollars I could spend on something else (That's what I would've thought if Spyro didn't grab my attention)

I still love the idea and such, I probably would've have noticed or looked into the gameplay if Spyro didn't grab my attention.

Probably. At the very least, would still have bought some of the toys because I'm a sucker for dragons.
I love the whole game+toy concept, and still would've stalked updates just the same.

This was according to one of the Dev's originally going to be another Unholy War style game before they decided "hey were been given Spyro lets do that instead".

Without Spyro this game would of been a heck of a lot violent

Either way, spyro in it or not, it simply does not appeal to me, i liked the original spyro games, i liked the legend of spyro games,

while i did enjoy those games, this game simply doesn't appeal to me, so either way i wont be getting it. plus activision has made it clear that its mainly a test to see how far the *spyro* name will get them, while i don't plan on getting it myself, i hope it sells well, if it does Activision will start work on the next *spyro* game.

mabye they are testing to see if anyone still remember spyro or something, and if they do, he gets his own game.
