At the event, you could play the game. Unfortunately, you could only play it on Wii. The only characters they had were Spyro, Gill Grunt and Trigger Happy. I played a whole level as Spyro and a bit of a level as gill grunt. They were also Giving away posters of the 32 characters and you could have your picture taken there.

There were also people dancing really, really badly.

So yeah, I just thought I would tell you about it. smilie

Well, I only played the first level, so I can't really speak for the difficulty, But it did seem to hold my hand a bit too much.
The controls were good, and the level design was fun.

I don't really have much to say to be honest. I know I'm going to be buying it, It's a fun little game. Although you can definitely tell that it's aimed at small children.

I'd need to play more to formulate a proper opinion on it really.

How do you even navigate if you can't jump?

There are jump pads in the game that allows you to jump up to places unreachable.

In the level I played there were jump pads, which will probably be in all the levels.

...

And to think, a jump button would make much more sense. I mean, honestly, they run out of buttons to map or something? 360 controllers have EIGHT buttons and two sticks (Which can serve as two MORE buttons). Same with PS3. Wii has a crapload of motions you can do, as well as FIVE buttons.

Why on earth, then, would someone cut jumping out of a PLATFORMER?
Aura24 Platinum Sparx Gems: 6561
#9 Posted: 19:30:39 18/09/2011
Prysom, buy the 3DS version of Skylanders if you think a game with no jump button is that big a deal. It's more of a platformer than its console counterpart.

I'm just saying, every successful game I can think of lets you jump. Twisted Metal even let you jump, and that was a DRIVING game with massive cars.

And why does everyone assume I have a 3DS? Or that I would buy this? Last I checked, I'm 6-12 years older than the demographic bounds they shoot for.

Because you're giving us the impression that the jump button is a great big deal to you.

Mainly because it's kind of a given in games. Few games bar jumping. Even games it is terrible in use it, like Twisted Metal or Soul Calibur. I simply can't think of a successful non-driving game without jumping in it. And I've played over 700 games to my recollection.

You can jump in GTA, and you don't even really need it. Especially in III and Vice City.

If you don't even think about buying it, why are you complaining 300 times per day about that game? Just let it go...

How can fans get along with each other if they won't even hear each other out? Fans perhaps should be loyal to others if a fanbase should 'survive' or am I wrong?

A fan, sometimes also called aficionado or supporter, is a person with a liking and enthusiasm for something, such as a band or a sports team. Fans of a particular thing or person constitute its fanbase or fandom. They may show their enthusiasm by being a member of a fan club, holding fan conventions, creating fanzines, writing fan mail, or by promoting the object of their interest and attention.

Hum...

So I guess I'm wrong, it doesn't really tell you on how fans should respond to one another.

Also, I have nothing against criticism, but I have somethings against complaining and free bashing.

@SD: Zelda was birds eye cam. If you jumped in it, you wouldn't accomplish much. Though FF games don't have jumps. But then again, they really never needed them.

What? By stating an opinion that some people can't seem to handle so they just come up with the excuse of 'We're getting tired of hearing this now' if you're not really bothered about it in the first place, you would just ignore it and not even bother to reply.

First off, you were NOT supposed to read that. I was more of a thought out loud... and it is not my fault you horribly misread what I meant.

Wait, why am I explaining myself to you? You are the one who starts these. In MOST boards. With ME. Keep Skylanders crap in Skylanders' board.

Probably in a lot more ways than are relevant, but you drag this Skylanders merda around to SEVERAL boards. You're no less biased than me. You haven't even played the game, and you assume it is good. I haven't even played the game, and I assume it is bad.

You are biased, just like me, just on the other end of the spectrum.
