Spyro sure looks ferocious as a Legendary... they all look pretty good, although so far, the normal Spyro is the one I want the most out of all the Spyros.

So there is three types of Spyro in Skylanders? I wonder if this will affect the storyline, are they all going to meet eachother? It seems kind of silly to me.

Maybe if you get all Spyrosit'll affect the story in that one Spyro becomes the others, and then you can toggle between the three with one Spyro, given the 'toys with brains' and all that.

Dunno if anyone else has seen this or not, but this article is hinting strongly that Skylanders will be making an appearance at Gamescom.

I'd get the legendary characters if they didn't look, well...horrible. The shiny blue and gold just makes me think of some crappy toys I used to have back in the 90s. Now, if they were shiny and were their normal colors...

Lgendary Spyro looks cool with the blue like color, but the gold wings are an eyesore compared to it.

And I doubt it would have a move set any different from Spyro or Dark Spyro.

But I'd rather smash up plastic junk as opposed to playing Skylanders, and the fact I am smashing Skylanders stuff adds some novelty to it. So I feel my money would be well spent.

If the legendary Spyro's powers doesn't belong to the franchise. Then I may not get him depending on if they change him or not.

You should've seen the like/dislike ratio in the IGN (I think) character trailers.

Yeah, IGN doesn't seem to mind all the hate comments they receive every hour on their Skylander uploads.

Those vids just look like the gameplay vids we already saw, but with some new characters I think.

The vids posted to the Skylanders YouTube channel look like slightly older footage with placeholder voices. We've seen more up-to-date footage already with different voices. But it was still cool. Also, the haters can whine all they want on that channel: all comments have to be approved before they show up.

^ I actually asked them earlier to put on comment approval on their channel. Before I commented on their channel, they were allowing all comments automatically.

Here's a big shocker: I don't like how comment approval was put on their videos.

It basically places a filter where only good comments are allowed. Yeah, the haters are immature. But shouldn't they have a chance to speak? That's why I also speak out against the people that say that haters shouldn't be on the Skylanders page and should just shut up. It's a limitation. We like to express how we have freedom of speech. So do they. Comment approval limits their right.

We've already decided that Activision and Toys For Bob most likely don't give a **** about what most of the fandom thinks of this game, so what's the big need for comment approval? You may as well disable ratings while you're at it. If they really have been through a lot, they would've started finishing the game secretly. If they were really offended, they would respond, or have even tried to pull the plug on the entire game.

With Comment Approval on, CAV, they'll probably only allowed comments from users that don't act like the raging out of control fanbase, both negative and positive. You seem to be the only here who thinks Comment Approval isn't necessary and that it's a bad thing, especially with the raging fanbase is going on...

I notice that you always like to comment about the situation in such a way that it is a big dilema, and that you make a big deal out of a raging fanbase, now, from this site, I don't see it as much on YouTube videos of Skylanders, I only see a random negative comment here and there, just as much as a positive comment, you're making it sound like it's real bad, in my opinion, I think it's even. And yes, it is an opinion that I think you're making it seem worse than it is. I mean 'raging' I don't see it as much, and I see the same amount complaining about that haters as much as them.

If they at least can support their argument as too why it "sucks" then maybe we can think about it for a moment. But since the game hasn't arrived on shelves yet, there is no argument to support nor a reason to complain over one detail but in fact the praise that acti is at least throwing money into a very fresh and great concept to a market of merchandising crazed generation that maybe this will revive the franchise and possibly use this same game play concept on a brand new series with the needs of ALL fan bases.

It can be done, nothing is impossible, but the question is who will execute the process with time and care with no rush and have the fans stop fighting internally with the complains like bickering children or idealistic politicians.

Animation is mostly about making money which is the said truth, but adding tons of artistic beauty can amp up a series and possibly be remembered for a long time. That is why Spyro has been here for as long since his first title in the late 90's.

There I said it... can we go back and just enjoy what we have and are getting than what we want, or they or what or who ever this hate is all about.

Unless you're one of the few that aren't very interested to get it, like me, and therefore their mind is made up already.

Well, with it's rpg elements, fresh toy concept, good graphics, and the length plus number of levels I say the best educated guess would have to be around...

7.5 out of 10, but that is only with the critical and "hardcore" generation downgrading it. But that would only be with what I see right now and not until later, which may go up, stay the same, or go down.

I agree, it definately won't get a mediocre score, and that main reason from that will probably be from the toy conecpt of them doing something different, which in my opinion, is gimmicky, but anyway I can see around 7.0 to 8.5 for this game, I'll be very suprised if it gets lower from the trailers I've seen, but for my needs of a video game, this doesn't interest me very much.

I thought Jeff was being pretty ignorant, but then again, the haters are being ignorant by not giving the game a small light of chance. But then again, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and what they can say.

I supposed he wanted to tell the fanbase to go away so that they can make money on the people who don't know about Spyro? Perhaps they really can't be bothered with the fanbase anymore, like they want to discard it now, and start a fresh.

What was the message at the end of DotD? Thanks to all the fans who stuck by our purple dragon. And yet, just one game later, the same fanbase is basically being told to go away. *Dramatic voice* Us fans helped keep the Spyro franchise alive! Was DotD really our last nod? Was it's ending our ending?
