I have heard people say that Skylander's is a bad idea for a game, but others think it's the "Best Spyro yet." So, what is your opinion?

I think the "toys with brains" are a good idea and I'm actually looking forward to getting it. Although, it will never be as good as the original Spyro trilogy.

It's not the best Spyro yet as far as I can tell, but it looks fun and I really like all the character designs and what I've seen of it. And I think the "toys with brains" thing is really cool (I don't really care if it's "been done before", I've never seen it done like this and it looks fascinating to me).

I think it looks really good from What Ive seen so far.Probably not the very best Spyro but I still like it (:
Like everyone else said,The "Toy's with Brain's" is a good idea esspecialy since sme people would like to collect the character's they play as seperatly smilie

It certainly doesn't look bad to me at all, but I can't call it the "Best Spyro yet", since I, nor anyone else hasn't played it, yet.

However, I CAN say that it DOES look good to me. I agree with the others; I really like the whole "toys with brains" idea. I really like, although I've said this before, how the toys act like "memory cards", but are compatible with every version. I can say I'm looking forward to the game.

It looks like it'll be good, and I'm starting to get really excited for it (particularly the 3DS version). I love the concept of the toys a lot.

Not gonna happen because the Legend of Spyro series is meant to be a TRILOGY! And the movie's canceled because they're working on Skylanders, so get over it. <.<

It looks like a generic tie-in game to a kid's movie. Doesn't look interesting at all. But if I can't think of anything else to get for Christmas, I'll get it on PS3, probably.

It's still a little early to tell if the game will gain the 'excellent' status or the 'failure' status. From the videos so far, Skylanders looks pretty neat and original for all systems. From what I can tell, it has great graphics, several levels, many playable characters, and even a battle arena. While the game is aimed at kids - preferably boys - I find that this game can suit all ages without anyone complaining. The game has gotten a lot of hate mail from flamers and fanbrats who 'hate' Spyro's design. I must say that this is very unnecessary and these people are just acting like toddlers.
I, on the other hand, believe that this game has great potential. Although it is an obvious, major cash-cow, I will be buying it for the Wii the moment it comes to stores. I won't be buying every character, but I will buy enough to be able to complete the game 100%. This game is what my eyes have been watching and heart has been pumping for this Fall, and I hope it's worth it.

Could technology in video games getting advanced be a good thing, or in some cases a bad thing, for casual gamers it could make it more complicated for them, I'm a casucl gamer and with the PS3, all this online gaming, and downloadable content confuses me a lot, there's not even that many modern games I like since most of them are built for hardcore gamers.

Nobody knows.

Though I'm guessing there will be more gameplay than cutscenes. The story is a bit too simple to require a lot of cutscenes to explain it.

I like what I see so far. I think they should have made something more related to TLoS, but since they ended it on the trilogy note, this looks like a new and interesting reboot for Spyro. I just don't like the whole toy shceme. It's a total money drainer. smilie
I'm getting the game though, I finally figured out. I like Spyro's design and I like the levels and gameplay, it looks cute.

Spyro may look like a weirdo, but I don't see why everyone over on dA is drawing him getting stabbed to death. smilie Total ignorance. They aren't stopping Skylanders, anyway.
I personally want to see this game turn into a success. smilie

Shows promise. If nothing more it will bring much needed traffic to this fanbase, and at least it's moving back in the direction of lighthearted and purely entertaining, rather than so-called 'mature(ish) darkness' and 'epic story'.

Not to mention the return of platforming and what looks like vehicles, other tolls and mini games as well. Now all we need is a story centered on Spyro alone and some upbeat catchy tunes and we're REALLY in business! But regardless of what more I'd like to see, at the very, VERY least it is succeeding in what some previous titles intended to do, and that is bring Spyro some attention and appeal to the young audience, PLUS some teens and adults to boot.

I am with Fireball on this one.I can't form an opinion until it has come out but it looks promising.
I'm just liking the look and gameplay style so far which in my opinion looks better than TLOS.
I just really hope it will be great.I will definetly be getting characters of one of each of the rest elements besides the current three that come with the game to gradually to aim for 100 percent.

I used Classic form. Classic form has no IV, but IIII. Standard form is IV. The reason why is because of the fact V was not an individual letter, but two, when Roman numerals was invented. J and U were not introduced to the alphabet until the 1600s.

Expensive enough to leave me without my books for 3 months, but has a really new and cool way of gameplay and awesome graphics. Not as detailed as LOS or suprising as the Original's,but cute and well-drawn.
Spyro's design combined with his voice is just outright incredible, and most of the characters' designs are really great too(except for Zook, which looks like a tree even if Stump Smash is already around),not to mention their original attacks. Also,Activision deserves a cookie for using Dark Spyro's design from GBA TEN instead of the console version.Silver claws, awww yea.

And I can't forget to mention Hans Zimmer. c:

tl;dr: Totally buying this game.

Hello Everybody!!!

So far, I like everything about this game:

- Concept: 32 playable characters, each of them with their unique moves, powers and stories. How many games offers so much playable characters???? Only in the fighters genre you can find such a high number of them.

- Level design: Very much like a fantasy world, just the way I like it...like if it was tim burton who has design it. Brilliant.

-Gameplay: it seems to be fast, enjoyable and very "enviroment-interactive". Plus they have incorporated flight, which is a very postitive feature.

- Other: Screenplay written by "toy story" people, music by hans zimmer, some of the characters have excellent backgrounds, etc.

I know this not may be everybody's cup of tea, but I can tell youm that this game has made smile since I heard of it. I hope it is a succes so we can get sequels.
