I found why ESRB rated the game E10+ [CLOSED]

It sounded like it was a mild E10+, but it doesn't mean that everyone can play it. Then again I don't think it will affect any of you anyways.

Here's the link.http://www.esrb.org/ratings/sy...&searchkeyword=

I was a little surprised by the rating. Still it isn't as violent as the last three console Spyro games.

Yeah, TLoS should have been T-rated.

I don't know about the ESRB, but I know that PEGI run on the system that any game with violence, basically just fighting, are rated 7 (which is the E10+ equivalent). Breathing fire and charging in the original Spyro games doesn't fall under the as a violent game because there's no actual fighting because the enemies stand there and wait for you. It's kind of like punching a guy and then not having them punch back, it's not fighting and neither is jumping on enemy's in games like Mario and Sonic. However, the battle system in TLoS of enemy's retaliating to your attacks or actually chasing to attack you is considered fighting, and any game where an enemy will do that instantly gets an E10+/7 rating.

Well that didn't happen to the portable versions of the LoS series. I think it depends if you fight constantly or how realistic it is. It could also be E rated if it doesn't look all that real.

You thought ANB, TEN and DOTD was violent?

Well yeah, I can see why... Of course you could argue that Mario is violent because you're squishing turtles...

But I wouldn't consider Spyro violent unless a game is rated M... Or even T for mild blood...

They've added an identical description for the rest of the consoles, confirming that it will work on both Windows and Mac like the boxart said.

LoS should have been rated T, I think it was borderlined with there.

Any game that has even a drop of realistic-looking blood is automatically rated "M"
That's why Halo is rated M, because of the blood, even though there isn't a whole lot.
There is also some gore (the Drones (flying bugs) explode into pieces when shot; and the Flood of course).
But not enough that it should affect the game much.

Then there is Kingdom Hearts, that came close to being rated T. Especially back in 2002.

I played ANB when I was 8. I wasn't really affected by it. Then TEN when I was probably 10. Then DotD when I was 11. Not really that bad.

I can definitely see this game being rated E10+, and Ratchet and Clank being rated T. *I mean the later series.*

Well the Legend of Spyro games came out a year after the next, so ANB came out in 2006, TEN in 2007 and DOTD in 2008, so I'm sure you can work out exactly what age you were, and you can also check the games section of what date it exactly came out on.

Parents get way too worked up over video game ratings nowadays. Unless there are rainbows, butterflies, or unicorns hopping around, the game has to be at least an E10+.
