Considering the original Crash games sold more copies then the original Spyro games, it's ironic to see that Spyro is the one continuing now. *That is, unless AV decide to pump out a Crash game, of course*

I still say there's more to the cancellation of the last crash game than leaked info. NO company will cancel a potentially money making game just because some information got out.

Probably the only reason being is because Crash came out two years before Spyro.

I always thought Crash was pretty stupid. I mean, he was an ok franchise, but he didn't compare tot he awesomeness of Spyro, IMO. Did anyone feel this way, or am I alone on that one like I imagine?

I'm with you on this one, when I was a kid, I thought it looked stupid and annoying, but as I've grown up I've given a few of the games a go and they're ok, nothing fantastic though.

You're not the only one, riverhippo. Spyro is better than Crash for me. I always thought the Crash games were too difficult. ;

i use to be a big fan of Jazz jackrabbit games. my room had a bunch of Jazz Jackrabbit posters. than i started playin Crash,Spyro,and Tak. I drifted from Jazz and now my room has Crash,Spyro, and Tak everywhere.

But i like Crash more than spyro because well Crash was just a game where surprising things happen and had alot of humor to find.

For me, it's the other way around. I feel that there is more to Spyro than any other platformer, maybe TY comes close, and I don't consider Jak or Ratchet to be platform games. The most basic platform game I've played so far is Croc.

Honestly, I played Crash before I ever played Spyro. And Crash 3 remains one of the best games I ever played.

But what reeeaalllyy pissed me off is the fact that Activision canceled the development(and laid off the entire team) of
that ''Crash 2010'' game of which some concepts and cutscenes were leaked.
I mean gawd...they brought back Crash's original design(no more ''hardcore''tattoos,and he doesn't look retarded etc like in MoM,COTT imo),Dingodile and the concepts were looking great,its really sad to see these ideas/concepts go to waste agh I could go on ranting about this,even tho its old news ...

but lets get back on topic now ;3

His racing games were considered the best racers and even got the Record for it, until CTTR screwed up and Mario Kart took over.

I didn't think his design was bad in CotT and MoM, but I thought that the designs of the Villians were pretty Bad - Tinu Tiger's voice was just... well, need I explain?

Even before Mario Kart, I didn't think they were the best racing games ever. To me, the best racing games have always been the Gran Turismo games. Burnout got damn close though, especially with Burnout Paradise.

I'm not all that keen on racing games, but Crash I am interested in, also Jak.

well not so much his design,but the personality...and those weird noises he makes xP
but I agree they effed up Tiny badly Dx and the mask designs ...the only good villan imo was their take on N.Brio ...the design was prety close to the original and also the personality

Kart games FTW! Racing games are no fun if you gotta obey physics; I just wanna blast around the track and blow stuff up.
CTR was great, it's just above DK Racing, but the old Mario Karts are still on top.

I can see this getting overshadowed by the announcement of a new CoD game. Activision have been very quiet about any CoD related news so far this year (a new game at least) so I can see E3 being their big reveal. Still, I'm glad we're going to see some more of Skylanders.

I thought COD was over and Skylanders was its replacement of sorts.

It's being developed by 3 different teams: Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer Games for the single player, and Raven Software for the multiplayer. The goal is to fix any bugs the games ever had, and to get at least a Metacritic score of 95 or more. I didn't think anything official had actually been mentioned from Activision. There were rumours from magazines, but I didn't think Activision or any of the developers had actually said anything official yet. I don't pay attention to COD, but I pay attention to gaming news in general and I think an official announcement would have come up somewhere.

But still, nothing official from Activision... Which was the point of my original post, I know they're making another COD game they just haven't announced it officially yet. E3 will be Activision's big opportunity to do so, over shadowing Skylanders.

Not from Activision, but from Sledgehammer Games, one of the developers of the game itself. That's better than hearing from Activision, since Sledgehammer is actually making the game.

And even regardless, MW3 was going to overshadow Skylanders to begin with. We'll be lucky to see any gameplay footage.

I knew it was going to overshadow Skylanders from the beginning, I wasn't doubting that. I just made the point that Skylanders probabaly won't be a big thing at E3. We'll see some gameplay, no doubt about it, but it'll be something Activision mention for 5 minutes and then move on.

I actually think Actvision will talk about it for more than 5 minutes, seeing how much they're going through to hype it up, which is a surprise.

STD had you chase down the bosses down the rest of the levels when you hit them. RR and YotD had you circle around the bosses to find their weakness or get to certain objects in order to harm them.

Steam was possibly the only creative boss in ANB, it wasn't as simple as just killing the boss but it also wasn't too hard as all you had to do was avoid the train.

I don't necessarily want something EXACTLY like the classics, but something that makes you think and gives you some kind of variety and different options would be awesome! Enough of this overly simplified button mashing spam attacking already!

I want it to be a classic for the new generation who never played STD- think, a modern version of the Insom games, and yet completely different.
