Quote: SuperSpyroFanYou'd think that the publisher would realise that rushing a game would make it crap.
Yeah, but all publishers want is a game to reach the deadline.

Remember that little comment Activision made?
"The game has been in development for two and a half years, an unprecedented amount of time for a kids game."
So, the game was announced in February 2011.
Two years before that is February 2009.
Another half a year back, and you're at August 2008.
DotD was released in October 21st 2008 in the USA, and November 21st 2008 in Europe.
So, if Activision were being truthful, Skylanders started development two months before DotD was first released.
From what I've heard, the game has been in development since January 2009.
And even still, how would it rush the game? Skylanders is being developed by a completely different developer to DotD. And odds are they didn't think of putting Spyro in there, until probably last year. Therefore, it's not development of two games in one franchise. They were two different franchises, until they deicded to put the character in. So I fail to see how it would harm development of DotD.
