If you watch the Disney Channel and like what you see, why is that article writer who shares your views making Skylanders sound worse because of them?

When it comes down to it, so far I don't particularly care about Skylanders. I like the art and that's it. My gamer interests are focused almost exclusively on Portal 2.

Mine are on the upcoming pokeman games, and a little hope that Cynder comes back.

Mine are on..... Er, nothing really. So I guess Skylanders is it. B/W comes out tomorrow, and the Japanese version has been out for a while, so I don't have as much interest in that..... There's no other games (That I haven't already imported) that I'm really looking forward to.

A few paragraphs from the article:

"The speed at which this happens is incredibly impressive. There's no loading screen and barely a second of time between the toy landing on the POP and it appearing in the game. The result is instantaneous; one second the screen is filled with a prompt and in the next, a character appears on the screen. The character can be removed just as easily - which parents will be delighted to hear - simply be whisking the toy off the POP. Up to two toys can appear on the screen at any time, and the game supports two-player co-op and vs modes.

That line makes me SO happy! I get the game and I've already got 3 out of the 5 characters I want so far.

I will get the feathered dragon, the black griffon, the water dragon, and a few others

I also discovered the character elemental types: Earth, Air, Fire, Water, Life, Undead, Tech and Magic.

I'll probably get the dragons, gryphons, unicorns and ofther specific ones, but IDK for sure.

Looks like we'll need one character of each element to complete the whole game of secrets.

I know; as opposed as I am to spending over 300 dollars, a game (especially Spyro) isn't really done for me until I beat it 100%, and from the looks of it 100% completion isn't possible without ALL the toys.
I want a full list of characters with pictures and bios, plus a little video footage of thier unloclable area, so I can make a more informed decision as to which ones I want.

You don't have to buy all of them. Only one character of each element works fine.

I know, but I don't like the idea of buying more than one to get 100%. Again, they are forcing us to pay extra for the full game.

I wonder if they'll have combo achievments. For instance, in order to get to a certain part of a level you need to use the powers of more than one player to get to it. Or in order to defeat certain enemies with an element, 3 or more of your characters need to be at a certain level...


They put a lot confidence in their save progress states and configurations. Even the most complicated ones have unfortunate loopholes and glitches. I play GT5 often, and they have a problem with people earning credits and experience in-game by bad glitching and loopholes that involve flash drives, track defects, and multiple PSN accounts. Even after 4 months of restricting updates, people are still taking advantage of newly-found loopholes. Its sad when people are rolling over the credits number that easily on a game that has been "under development" since the PS3 was launched.

..For some reason, this game's giving me a Megamind vibe.
I just re-watched that movie today, and I don't know what it is, but it's wierd. Especially Gill Grunt and the fish guy sidekick.

Probably need one toy from each element to beat the game %100, but Activision wants us to buy them all. Meh, I'll buy only the toys I want and not get %100 fully.

Apparently one of the artists working on Spyro is taking feedback from the fans! But the person who sent it to me says it's too late to change anything.

A question to Toys for Bob coming from a fan who dislikes the game only because of Spyro's appearance...

Well, it's probably halfway near completion, and the fans who hate Spyro's design may as well get use to it like they did with LoS Spyro.

Alex Ness isn't the artist though, he's the producer.

Somehow I knew this was going to be the arrangement of the available characters.

@NEW_SpyroLUVA: ...that's cool! Didn't get that type of email. If I were to respond. I was thinking of making the character model represent more of what the concept artwork is trying to depict. (There are three different concept artwork of Spyro per say!) I like it that it looks a nice mix of the Classic and LOS Spyro. Otherwise, I'm fine with it.

Except the email didn't come from the artist of Toys for Bob, Alex Ness is the producer.

I got a response from Alex too. Remember, I told you guys that he said that Toys for Bob weren't upset by all the hate comments fans has been sending them since they've only been paying attention to the kids who had tried out Skylanders and playing the game.

Its nice they are listening to the fans, maybe Spyro's appearence will be updated in the next game. The current one isnt terrible, it just needs work in spots.

It's encouraging to know that at the very least they are willing to take others opinions for these kinds of things. Of course, they have a lot of time (respectively) to make these kinds of changes.

IMO, I think Spyro's style will be changed only a little. I would hate for Spyro's image to change to something even worse. "How can it get any worse?" I don't want to answer that.

I like the IDEA of the design from the concept art, but the promotional art doesn't look great, and the in-game model looks terribley deformed.

hey, what was the deal with those adult Spyro models and concepts anyways? They leaked just before the announcement of Skylanders. It scared everyone, and then confused them when SSA Spyro was revealed that weekend.
