She is also dark in color and has a personality.


Now I don't know about you, but I don't want a green Cynder running around, who hates Spyro, has no wings and only exists under water.

Well who said it had to be approved for kids? Generically speaking the games appealed to everyone. For it to do that, there has to be jokes/plot-points for both kids and adults. Or it would have gotten worse reviews.

Not true. The original Spyro games are devoid of adult humor and were marketed towards children entirely. They got a wider audience because they were fun for everyone.

Skylanders is a similar case. It is a game designed and marketed towards kids and will therefor not likely have much adult humor but may still appeal towards older gamers if done right.

There was a lot of inappropriate humor in AHT.

Really? The only thing I remember was Sparx flying through a mammoths digestive tract.

It's mostly stuff that's between the lines. There are a lot of gay jokes in AHT, references to the game itself being bad, lampshading of older game tropes, etc. That sort of stuff is what made the game such a laugh riot for me to play.

lol, I enjoyed the hidden adult jokes in AHT. They amuse me......

That parody series of DotD has prevented me from viewing things in it without sexual innuendo!

Urgh, I need to get AHT again. Awesome to play the game, hilarious to watch the cutscenes....just like Conker!

I drew/wrote so much worse than anything in that DotD parody and I can still turn off the perversions and treat it like the innocent thing it's meant to be (well...mostly meant to be; I have my doubts about DotD Cynder's design). Granted, I'm a decade+ past puberty at this point; most of you aren't so lucky.

Parody series? I'm officially lost.

On YouTube some folks have done a parody of DotD that's modestly funny (I preferred it early on but didn't care much for it as it kept going). We quote Cynder's lines about being a chain smoker every now and then around the house.

Ok, but that's not really a valid reason to completely hate the game, especially when Cynder was only meant to be in LoS.

I'm not going to argue, but, just because we haven't seen Cynder, doesn't mean she won't be in it. There are still plenty of unseen characters. If not that, she could be a random character inhabitant.

I don't think any of the old Spyro characters will in Skylanders. I mean, when they made the LoS series, the only familiar characters were Spyro and Sparx. So I think it is safe to assume that Spyro will be the only character from the old games.
But, remember when LoS came out. I'm sure some of you were upset that most of the old characters weren't going to be in it and it was going to be horrible too. But didn't it turn out to be great? (Or at least mostly?) I think the same thing will happen with this game so I am willing to give it a chance. But hey, just my opinion.
