I simply use the Comment Approval option on my Skylanders videos, so I will have the option to ignore the comments and not let them be posted on the videos or approve them and let them be posted.

The Portal of Power is similar to the portals in TEN when Spyro is in his dreamscapes and steps onto the portal to get to another area of his dream.
And Spyro having his own health bar in Skylanders is similar to his Legend of Spyro counterpart having his own health bar as well. They both don't rely on Sparx as their protector.

It was in the Time to Play's video look of Skylanders at the Toy Fair. You see it on the bottom left side of the video screen:

Nice. One is definitely a health meter. There is at least one more that could be his magic meter or a powerup meter.
Also, I read most of your details under the references to other games. Some of them seem kind of taken out of thin air, no offense. Like the helecopter blades being like Gaul's double-side weapon... Just seems like a desperate attempt at bridging the gap for people who disapprove this game. |

No, that possible reference was found by a member on this forum. I add references to the list that are accurate. And most of the other references in Skylanders were found by other fans right off the bat anyways, I didn't find them all myself.

I wonder if that means...the ps2? Also, i wonder if this will affect the price? I mean, arent Wii games more expensive, because of gameplay, or something? I guess they wouldnt change the price for all of them, unless they really want more money for this franchise.

Hold on now, if there are sheep. looking so much like those of the PS1 games, it is fair to assume that they are fodder, as the PS1 sheep were, yes? But here's the thing: Why have sheep or fodder of any kind if we have no Sparx to eat butterflies? I know he has the health bar as opposed to 3 hits you're gone, but what if you reagain health through Sparx? Like, rather than picking up crystal fragments or life force or something, you kill sheep to get butterflies for Sparx?
Just a thought...

Have you forgotten about this screenshot?
If Sparx isn't present, it's still a possibility for Spyro to knock them around for fun like he did in Spyro the Dragon.

I haven't forgotten anything... I'm just saying there's a chance that Sparx COULD still be in SLSA. I know full well there's still other uses for sheep if Sparx is absent; they may relaease a life force thingy that you collect for health.
Also, Spyor never just knocked Sheep around in game. He killed sheep for health; it wa only in cutscenes that dragons played with sheep, and that was the elders playing Sheep Ball.

I've noticed in gameplay of Skylander that meat is dropped from some creatures that restores health. O.o
Maybe the sheep will turn into meat when Spyro burns them into meat like he did in Enter the Dragonfly. Is this another accurate reference?

I think i agree with Aura, here. The sheep look alot like the ones in the first game, and since there probably wont be a sparx, we might be able to toss them around. ...Or push them off that little island there :3
EDIT: Also, to everyone freaking out about sparx, or whatever. Remember in Los? Sparx didnt do anything at all...except talk. So why have him in here, except for the fact that hes spyro's bud? |

I noticed a chicken leg in one of the gameplay of Skylanders that restores health. It's possibly a reference to Enter the Dragonfly when Spyro flames sheep, they turn into meat.

It could be. In that game, you pick up chicken for health.
Games sometimes reference other totally unrelated games.

It's the prinicple of the thing. Sparx IS Spyro's bud, he's been there since day one; he and Spyro have always been the dynamic duo! SO it makes perfect sense for people to miss him so dearly.

Because Sparx is Spyro's best friend. He has been with Spyro in every single game and is a staple to the Spyro series. It doesn't feel natural for him to not appear in Skylanders. Having a Spyro game without Sparx is like a peanut butter jelly sandwich without the jelly.

It does feel natural for Sparx not to be in Skylanders, just the same way that Hunter, Cynder or the Professor or any other character is not there, it's a reboot, not every character will be there. Sparx wasn't even a great help in A Hero's Tail really, most of the gems would automatically land into Spyro like a magnet, I think in that game he was there for the mini games. If it were an original Spyro game without Sparx then I'd understand. |

I'm a big fan of the Insomniac games and even I don't care that Sparx isn't in this game. He was a tool in the original series, a kind of creepy talking tool in AHT, and outright useless and annoying (for the most part) in LoS. I'm not really bothered by his absence in Skylanders and I don't get why so many people are.

^Because Sparx has been in Spyro games since the very beginning until Skylanders. Most fans are just used to Sparx hovering around Spyro when the dragonfly's a health meter or not.

Aura's essentially just answering my question, Super, not agreeing with the other side. I personally think it's pretty silly that so many people are complaining about Sparx being gone, though. I was more excited to see the sheep in the game and hadn't noticed Sparx was gone until someone started screaming about it.
