Basically, you can come up with Skylanders character concepts here. Or, if you want, you can just mention existing characters, Spyro related or not, that would be cool in the game.

One type of character I would like to see is a dancer type character, or a magical musician.
For the dancer, it could be anything - hip-hop, ballerina, mexican....personally though, I think hip-hop would be coolest, as the world they come from could be a big discotopia!

For the musician, they could have a couple of instruments. They wouldn't be limited to any category though - harps, guitars, tamborines, anything! Different instruments could do different things. A harp could temporarily befriend enemies, a guitar could stun them, tamborines could smash their face in, etc.

I have ideas for existing characters for this, but I will post them later.

Some sort of character from space. And no, not the stereotypical green alien with a laser. I'm talking about something else. An entity from space, with some sort of power nobody has ever seen before......

.......A being made of electricity would be nice too. He can fit him/herself into power cords and travel at the speed of light.

And of course more dragons.

Something more animal like(not like the shark or fish guy). Or another mythology creature, hippocampus, nemean lion, phoenix etc. As long as they looked decent.

Some sort of Egyptian creature, maybe based off Anubis or Bastet.

A pokemon.

I would love to see Moneybags in this.
For a basic attack, he could just whack people with his bag of gems.

For a secondary attack, he could throw gems. They're colour would be randomly generated, and different colours do different things.
Examples:
Red gems explode into pieces, like a cluster grenade.
Green releases a stench, like a stink bomb.
Purple acts as a smoke grenade.
Yellow gems are really pretty to the enemies, so they flock towards them.
Pink gems are blindingly bright, making enemies confused and start attacking each other.

The chance of getting a gem is lower depending on how intense the effect is.

Old Characters: Sparx, Hunter, Ember, Flame, Sheila, Elora, Bianca, Sgt. Byrd, Bently, Agent 9, maybe Cynder, The Guardians of LOS and the Elders of AHT.

Other than that, more dragons, gryphons with vaying elements like Dragons, unicorns with varying elements, maybe an alien, ROBOTS!!!, and Pheonix.

Any kind of dolphin character would be cool.

Or a mermaid! OH! Gill's Girlfriend Jill!
(I made that name up, btw.)

Actually, there was a robot shown in the trailer being bonked. Enemy or Ally?

With a frying pan weapon right?

Something like that....got the idea from Conker's Bad Fur Day!

He could smack them with the frying pan for the primary attack, and use pepper for the secondary attack.
For his special ability, he could create food platforms!

As New_SpyroLUVA said I wouldnt mind seeing a unicorn(not plump pink maned my little pony kind) The only time I played as a unicorn was in Pryzm, they made her pretty tough.

To be honest, I really would like another dragon to play as...

New idea: The guardians, cynder, past classical charries, OR, it'd be REALLY cool to play as an enemy? Maybe not that snail creature from TEN...but an ape, maybe?

A character similar to the Theives in Spyro 1.

Know what would be THE BEST? If Activision releases DLC on all systems for a 'creature creator'. With the creator you could make your own character using parts from the characters/toys you've already bought, and you could recolor them, and mix and match parts from different characters and choose your element, or they could just be 'normal' types. Perhaps they could add all new parts, species and weapons too.
