Ugh... does it really matter if Cynder isn't in this game? It's almost like it's the end of the world for some LoS fans who don't this game simply because Cynder isn't in it, or the characters are in it. Another overreaction...

Well, you were overreacting in your first post that Cynder isn't in Skylanders, like it bothers you. You can't expect a Spyro game to have something you really want it to have.

I'm personally surprised that she's not in SSA, but, then again, they could supposedly only have one character from each world, and seeing that Cynder and Spyro live in the same world...

She was a popular character, so it's weird that they give her the boot. I hear a lot of kids liked her, and this game is supposed to be geared towards kids. Every kid that I know who knows her liked her, regardless of gender.

But I think they would be much better off putting in Classic and LoS characters, rather than all new ones(most of them are generic so far). A few new ones is fine, but still....WE COULD OF HAD PLAYABLE MONEYBAGS AND RIPTO!! D:

Meh, I can live without Cynder in SSA. If I want to see her again, I'll play the LOS games.

No, I'm actually serious! He has great potential for an action game such as this. He could use powered up gems that do different things depending on colour. I was thinking they could be gem bombs!

I agree, to be honest, I hated Cynder following me around. While actually playing as her I only used one of her elements.

I like having AI partners. This is why I was ecstatic at the news of Sackbots in LBP2.

I'd hardly call her the star of the first two.....she had like.....2-5 minutes of screentime in TEN, and less in ANB.

That's what I think too. But we'll have to wait and see. Who knows maybe even Activision will turn around and make a LoS4 I mean no body thought there would be more games after Spyro 3 at first. But I wouldn't get my hopes up. We'll just have to wait and see.

Okay, I'll concede that Cynder wasn't the star of ANB or TEN (though she was the sole reason around half of the people who played those games played them). But she majorly upstaged Spyro in DotD, right down to being the last dratted thing you see before the game is completely over (and let's not forget that she's a better fighter than he is).

As regards a fourth LoS, I don't think we'll ever see one. Those games did very poorly in terms of sales and critical response. It's worth noticing that most articles about Skylanders are talking only about the early games from the franchise and those that do mention LoS, at best, mention it in an off-hand way (at worst, they link straight back to their negative reviews of DotD like GameSpot did ).

I think the main reason LoS missed out on sales was because of the terrible release dates. As for critical response, it was actually more positive than negative. The only game in the series that done bad on a wide scale was the console version of TEN.

As for GameSpot, they are terrible reviewers in my book. Any reviewer that gives Sonic Unleashed a lower score than Sonic 06 must of had parents that were related before marriage.

All I know is that EtD made it to the "greatest hits" line (over 1 million copies sold) and both TEN and DotD did not. In terms of critical reviews, even the good ones I saw for DotD (which were usually just average scores) tended to open with wistful lines like "Remember back when Spyro was on the PS1 and fun to play?".

I rather like GameSpot. Their written reviews tend to match my thoughts on most games and they give more useful information than other sites (unlike IGN, who couldn't be bothered to play a game they reviewed).

This usually demonstrates my point about DotD pretty well. It's out-ranked by GBA TEN and we don't even see it until there's a 65.5% score showing up for the Wii version (you'd fail any test/class with a grade like that).

Cynder upstaged both Spyro and Sparx in DoTD. I would prefer crummy DoTD Sparx after ruinous DoTD Cynder any day...

Oh, I didn't know you were referring to the fandom. In that case, I think she did.

I didn't see many reviews say that. I have seen the game receive 8's and 9's though, even on Xbox 360.

I don't see the harm of putting Cynder in SSA, though; it's not as if she could upstage another character due to the whole toy concept, plus a new design and voice actor could easily fix the problems fans had with her in DotD.

People would still hate on her, especially if SSA isn't good as a game. This is coming from my experience with the Sonic fandom.

I was absolutely fine with her VA.
I can easily see how the opposite would happen and she upstages every character...
Not to mention its never been said she isn't here...

All they have to do is release new toys.

And, even if Cynder herself wasn't in SSA, her character could be incorperated into a new character- say, the new one has a similar design and personality, just a different name.

Maybe, but wouldn't it just be wiser to make the older characters known/avaliable with the first announcements of the first game? They would've recieved more positive feedback if they had done that, and attracted more previous fans.

Not necessarily. They announced Sonic for Brawl quite late, and he drew in a lot of customers. They may be saving some big announcements for later.

Sonic was kinda obvious though, he was top vote and so much more information that led to him being there. I actually think that, for now, Cynder is gone.

Just because one character is missing from the game doesn't mean it's going to suck.

And yes, you don't like the game. Why else would you claim "whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy" if you aren't raged at the game?

It's fairly obvious that Cynder was only meant to be in LoS, just like how Hunter was only suppose to be in Classic games (his appearence in DotD was abysmal and I don't acknowledge it).

Don't protest this game just because Cynder isn't in there.
