In a way, I hope Toys for Bob have included LoS references and elements in SSA- or else it feels like they're treating it as an abomination that must be buried and never mentioned again... Which is kinda sad, really, seeing as it's kept Spyro alive for 3 years.

And the level set on big wooden ships obviously reminded me of Fellmuth Arena/Pirate Fleet(from TEN). There's no screens of it, but it's in the trailer.

They all have a dabble of Classic Spyro too, especially the Dragon City one.

Not really... I'm sure there's old Spyro levels you could compare them too. These levels seem a lot more colorful and cartoonish then in LoS. They're a lot brighter, and I don't remember LoS having big sunflowers smilie

I said that they had a bit of a Classic Spyro twist too. Basically, I think they look like LoS levels with a Classic Spyro twist. A lot of them look kinda dark on the lighting front so far(except the Beach one, which looks like it was taken directly out of Mario Galaxy).

For some reason the image of Spyro (Post 107) reminds me of a Level in Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped.
The ones set with the Medieval Castles.

I'm not officially a fan of it, but I'm actually somewhat anxious for it. Hey, it's new Spyro. I love it. smilie

And besides, the premise for this game sounds like a winner versus the cancelled movie project, considering who was handling the latter.

I can't decide yet. I want it for PS3, but two friends of mine are going to buy it for Wii (Yes, I persuaded them, but they don't have a PS3)... So I don't know

I'm getting it for Wii, but mainly because I rarely get to use the PS3... That and PS3 ports always seem to be dumbed down 360 versions- DotD, par example, doesn't have any trophies in the PS3 version, whilst the 360 one has them.

And interesting about the boat, I didn't notice that before!

The graphics aren't top notch--but the game's not done yet. It's still in pre-alpha stage, Spyro may not even look like he does in the end.

I don't understand people's hate towards Spyro's new design. I mean, they wanted a new game, a lot of them wanted a Classic game...I think this is a fair deal. And I praise ActiVision for at least attempting to unite LoS and Classic.

However though, it seems all they really achieved is creating a new monster that people are gonna whine and cry about.

I think it looks a little more on LOS side than classic side and that makes me happy.

I knew I wasn't the only one. I guess the levels like LoS would be cool, seeing as I preferred them over the Classic ones because I thought they were more mystical and such which I like. But they do look less mystical in this one though which kinda upsets me.

I didn't see any collect-a-thon gameplay in the trailers or screenshots, just fighting, so I don't see how the gameplay represents the Classics...

I don't consider it a teaser trailer, as it showed quite a bit of gameplay and revealed quite a bit of info. Teaser trailers are more like this most of the time:

Lol in the game Spyro looks more like classic Spyro but the worlds look like LoS......
As for being mystical we'll have 2 wait and see but for now it looks OK.

I hope that somehow in either a future game or downloadable content, Cynder is in there. She and Spyro are my all-time favorite characters.
