I think he looks like he has cancer of the skin or "skin cancer". I'm pretty sure my uncle died of that.

About the skin, not really. I don't see many problems with it. They look like normal scales.

He has a scaly texture and some cute little spots.

Doesn't look cancerous to me. :/

When I looked at the images, for a half-second I thought he had fur. *facepalm* But really, I think that the spots and other stuff go well with the redesign.
