You do NOT need any character other than SPYRO to complete the game [CLOSED]

Just to clear things up because millions of people have already complained about it... You do not need to buy any extra characters to complete this game normally, the only thing the extra characters bring are their ability's and a small little area for each of them...

Edit:

A player can finish the Skylander game with any one toy, but the company behind this game, Call of Duty publisher Activision, would prefer that players collect them all.

Of course Activision would, anyway... There's your proof... 'Any one toy' includes Spyro too...

Exactly.

Although we are not sure about the areas. There are also unique abilities for each of them.

The characters are just there so people can choose a character that suits their playstyle....or just because they think a certain character looks cooler than Spyro...

That is the thing, you ONLY need Spyro to complete Spyro's portion of the Skylanders universe. You don't need ALL characters to be SPYRO's portion of the world...

...Just for clarification.

Which ARE necessary to complete the game. A game is not done for me until 100%, so dropping $400 seems likely to complete this game. One of the biggest reasons why I refuse to buy this dead-on-arrival game.

It's all a marketing scheme to make a profit, and more of a profit to use Spyro so more kids would want it. Exactly.

The figures are set to cost about $7-10 each... So it wouldn't be anywhere near $400. Also, from the looks of this game, I don't think there's any point in completing it 100%

$7-$10 dollars? Are you kidding me? I think I may just apply at Toy's R' Us and wait for this game to come out. I want to see the kids who ask their parents for this. :c

Either my currency converter is out of date or I'm missing something... $7 is only £4... That's not too much... And $10 is £6... Hell, I spent more than that on Bionicle's when I was younger, so I'm not too bothered about that either...

$7 and $10 is a lot for a gimmick for each character. I could buy a meal with that, something I actually need.

Element: Tech
Primary Attack: Gold Coin Shooters
Secondary Attack: Safe Cracker Bomb
Upgrades include:
-Pot‐of‐Gold Bomb
-Super Charged Gold Blasters
-Gold Nugget Slinger
Bio: Trigger Happy is more than his name, it's his solution to every problem. Nobody knows from where he came. He just showed up one day blasting gold coins everywhere with his custom‐crafted shooters. Now everyone throughout the lands knows of this crazy goldslinger that will take down any bad guy… usually without bothering to aim.

Interesting.

Spyro
Element: Magic
Primary Attack: Fire Breath
Secondary Attack: Horn Charge
Upgrades include:
- Flight
- Spread Fire
- Aerial Head Bash
Bio: Spyro hails from a rare line of magical purple dragons that come from a faraway land few have ever traveled. He has been on many exciting adventures, and has a remarkable knowledge of the different lands he protects, more so than any other Skylander. A strong‐willed dragon who is young at heart, Spyro is fearless and brave. A true hero dedicated to defending his world from all things evil.

Edit: Yeah, this means that all the symbols on the logo relate to the elements... But I would have expected Spyro's 'Magic' element to be in the centre, not 'Fire'

Edit II: Oh yeah, and Spyro's a magic purple Dragon again...

This. Bionicles here in America were usually $14, double the price of these figures.

And for all we know, we don't need all of them.

And once again: You don't need to buy them to complete the game.

Same can be said for video games in general. $50-60 can feed you for about a week and a half, but yet we buy games instead.

So by your logic, I would guess that you don't play games at all. If you do play games, than you just contradicted yourself.
