AoH stands for "Age of Heroes". I've only read two chapters at random, and they weren't one after the other, but it handles romance very well, both in a serious way and a funny way.

Geeesh I'm stupid! I had added a page of AoH to my dA favorites, and I was going to read the actual description to the piece of artwork and forgot to! So I didn't even realize it was an AoH page! I just went back and read it though. It had Ember, and it was funny! I also like the way it handled the relationships

Chapter XI: The Dream

Spyro looked up at the beauty of the sunset over the estuary. He didn't know where he was, he didn't care, but he did remember stories Piermont had told about Martaan-his homeland-and how it was magical at twilight when the sun reflected from the dark blue waters of the estuary. Spyro felt his heart sink at that, the dragon had sacrificed himself for Spyro's safety. But the sheer and spellbinding beauty of the estuary made the sadness evaporate. Where am I? he thought, and how did I get here?
"Spyro?" A voice called out.
"Yes?"
"Spyro!" Cynder hugged him and kissed him fiercely, "My God I'm glad to see you are alright! I was so worried!"
"I'm okay Cynder, what about you?"...
..."I'll be fine...what about you?"
"Good enough I suppose...where are we?"
"I don't know...but it's-"
"It's beautiful."
"It is."...
..."destiny has arrived and we are decided, like it or not."
There was a few moments of silence before Spyro said, "And that's the truth?"
"Yes."
"Cynder..." He said tentatively....
...As the sunk sank, and the full moon began to shine brightly down upon the serene estuary, witnessed by the gods, destiny was fulfilled...or so they thought...

...Spyro awoke in a dimly lit room, longing for the dream to return. Sleep was not so kind. He looked to his left, Cynder was strapped tightly to a table, unconscious, and the purple dragon panicked to realize he was too.
The door to the room opened and a green, fully armored-clad soldier looked in, his dirty gold helmet visor reflecting the dim room.
"It is time," he said....

I'm hoping the next Spyro game does that, in a way, and fills in unexplained things left undiscovered from DotD..

I think another reboot would be a really bad move. They made TLoS for a reason, and according to the makers, they have plans, even if we don't see any possibilities. I personally don't see why they can't reboot the series again. As long as it's good, and the character's personality isn't screwed up, I'm okay with it. If it is a reboot, I'm hoping that they would make it more like the classics this time. Also, the reboot can work, you know. The Legend of Zelda basically gets a reboot every one or two games with a new link. It's not rebooted fully, being connected to other games in a way, but the characters are all different so it's like a reboot.... A reboot may be the only thing to keep Spyro alive. I can't see where they can go with TLOS. The only storylines I can see happening are both horrible, and I prefer the reboot over it.

Like I said, the makers do seem to have ideas, even if we don't see anywhere they can go from here. I still think a reboot is a bad idea, but of course I'd give it a chance. I think if they made another Legend gave that you should give it a chance as well. I just think another reboot would lose more fans than it would gain. They made TLoS to make a new Universe for Spyro. I think they'd at least think it through before they made the games to see how far they could go with it.

The thing is, the idea of a reboot would have seemed terrible to many when TLoS came out..... And yet, many people enjoy it. So I really don't see a problem with another reboot unless, again, you're being biased because you love the Legend series, which is how classic fans felt in the first place.

Sadly, like DarkCynder_543, I can't find a single storyline - Including popular fan ones, that would actually be anything other than boring to me. So I'm hoping, whatever this 'different direction' is (as so many people I think have forgotten that part), it will hopefully involve something excited.

I don't care if it's a reboot or not. But I will say this: They can't reboot the series as often as they are with LoS and now this.

Zelda doesn't have a reboot each game....Wind Waker was the only reboot it had, and they have went back to the old tone since then. Also, the gameplay has never rebooted in Zelda. They've tried many different gameplay ideas in Zelda, but the concept of the franchise was always the same(not counting Link's Crossbow Training). Also, Link is virtually the same in each game, whether he is a kid or an adult.

I agree, Spyro doesn't need another re-boot, that's just too much really. It would be nice for me personally to get used to The Legend of Spyro, it will take me a long while, but I'm not completely worrying about it.

I agree. And I can think of several ways LoS can tie-in to the Classics. The Classics might have to be altered a bit, LoS too, but LoS could still be a sort of prequel to the Classics.

I thought that the Legend of Spyro was a prequel to the Spyro the Dragon series at first, lol.

It was but it kinda spiraled into its own series. I still think though that there is a possibility to unite the two series and end this freaking fan war.

1) Dawn of the Dragon
2) A New Beginning
3) The Eternal Night

1) Ripto's Rage (Or Gateway to Glimmer)
2) Spyro the Dragon
3) Year of the Dragon
