After two years of development? I doubt it. IDK much of AV, but I expect they're paying fairly close attention to the game's production and wouldn't have stood for it if people were slacking off when they should be working to get Spyro to earn some popularity and subsequently money. It's my understanding that ETD was both rushed and unfinished, so as long as no one forces the game to be released for a specific date and let the developers finish, it should be fine.

Hold on now, there's no proof this is a reboot. And hopefully they looked at ALL the Spyro games before starting SK, reviewing sales recors, reception, fandom response, etc. Hopefully thay had the good sense to notice all the fail, remove it, and inject all the win from every Spyro game into this one in one way or another.

It shouldn't be a reboot. If so, then I'll be concerned. 3 reboots in only 13 years of existance isn't good for a franchise.

What do you mean by ETD remake? ETD made into what it was supposed to be, or a game of the same calebre of ETD? I'd actually like a real ETD remake, but not this one; I want something new. If you mean glitchy like ETD I agree.

ETD is an old Spyro game Activision wouldn't bother remaking unless they want to. It hasn't even been confirmed that a remake of the game is being made, a rumor possibly made by desperate fans to see what kind of Spyro game they're waiting for.

I'm going to pray that those rumors stay as what they are. If you ask me, there shouldn't be a remake of Spyro games outside of the Classics.

I hope the levels are as creative as the ones in the original game! Simply genius

Yeah what do you guys have againmst DotD? I'm on Warfang and the game if freaking awesome! Sure spyro and cynder looked different, but I'm used to it now. Cynder doesn't say "hiya" when she aatacks, I've played her most the game, and the only downside is the freaking chain and in valley of avalar, transporting the orbs to weight the raft.

The producers were to blame for the changes in DotD. Sudden unexplained changes, mostly the character designs for Spyro and Cynder, mainly to just maintain the free flight feature, that sadly brought unwanted attention to the Spyro series...

I'm currently playing DotD as well, and have to agree... why do people hate the game? It's a HUGE improvement from TEN, and IMO the best Spyro game since YotD.

The game is awesome! Why does everybody hate it?

I don't hate it entirely, it's just the decision the producers did for the game was a bad move, partly it was Activision's fault as well for rushing them.

I don't care! The storyline is good IMO. Sure also the colors are a tad bit blinding, but other than that and the fact that at times the other player would rather sit there while I'm trying to run away, its a good game.

Personal Rating: 100/10

Way better than ANB and TEN put together.

Heck they were even going to add a few scenes into the game: one with Cynder putting her iron jewelry on, and Volteer, Cyril, and Sparx having a humorous scene when the Golem attacks. But they didn't have enough time.

Exactly. You can't really blame EL. Note only do I think that the game is good overall, but I also applaud EL for taking risks that other developers didn't, and for doing what they could in the short time that they had.

And once again, design didn't alter the gameplay, therefore, it doesn't strike any points against them in my book.

DotD awesome game! That's my last word on the subject.

DOTD was a fun exciting game (mostly) i dont think theres anything wrong wit it. It might not sell out but a good game. My overall rating is 88.88repeating

Honestly, I'm glad that LoS was made. Now, many of you probably think I say that because of Cynder. And if you think that, you really don't give me credit.

First off, I like dark themes. It was rather obvious I would like LoS.

Second, Spyro was wearing thin for me. Looking at the case, I actually thought AHT was going to be dark, because I wanted Spyro to try something new other than the campy setting that all of the games were. I wasn't disappointed because the game was alright, but I did wonder what would happen if Spyro was in a dark tone. Then when I saw the TV spot for ANB, I jumped up and down (I was 8 at the time so shut up ) and begged to get it for Christmas. And I was surprised, and rather impressed that Krome managed to take one of my childhood heroes, and turn it into one of my daydreams. One might compare that to Mickey, for obvious reasons.

I cannot give an actual rating for DotD. It's rather hard to do so. But the rating would be between 8.3-9. I gotta replay the game.

I don't like the elite enemies too much, nor the ape ghosts. The chain can sometimes get annoying and how items drag you down, sometimes the other AI character is a little stupid (lazy actually. I get killed cause they won't move). Sometimes the the colors are blinding, and the design is different, but not horrible. Ricci is an okay Cynder, I like mae whitman better but ricci isn't bad.

Well, it is Spyro's beginning. Maybe afterwards, after the trilogy, they'll continue in the LoS universe without so much war going on in the game.
