Gameplay:

Cool, Eh? Remember, it's for 3DS, so it won't be playable on older models because of the excessive memory.
Oh, and the 3D isn't showing because you can't tape the effects. And it only looks like you're getting a cross-eyed effect because of the angle. Apparently it "looks beautiful from the right angle".

I remember it on N64. The level where the castle courtyard is all sunny and happy and full. And it is market day.
You go into the castle, play the ocarina. And when you leave again, the courtyard is night-dark, empty, lonely, scary and brown-cloaked zombie things are walking around instead of townspeople.

I never got around to finding a copy, so I'm glad I won't have to, but it would be fun to see the original. I might get it if it's on WiiWare.

Is it true you need to pay real money for custom packs in LBP?

For most of them, yes. However, some are free, and the pricing usually works like this:

Single Costume: 0.99-1.99 euro
Costume Pack: 1.99-5.99 euro
Sticker Kit/Mini Level Kit: 3.99-5.99 euro
Level Kit(Usually contain game changing updates, and have a mini "story mode" in them. You have to find the items within the levels, but it's not that tough. Sometimes, you get a costume too): 5.99 euro

So yeah, the prices are reasonable, IMO.

That just put me off buying the game, since I tend to spend too much on any kind of DLC.

I think I'm going to die with the anticipation of the 3DS and SK combined; I fell and slipped watching the trailer on the iPod today.

But the thing about LBP DLC is that it is usually themed costume and sticker packs. You may not be interested in half of the DLC, like myself!
I just get the game changing ones, level kits, and costumes based on games I like.

But whenever I see DLC, I often end up spending too much on it. Spending $30 on GraalOnline alone within the first few days(combined with the low level of moderation there) put me off of it, and you already pay that much with LBP for the disc alone.

But if it's themed, you probably won't want half of it.
Besides, all you have to do is restrain yourself from using a credit card with your PS3, or using a PSN card.
And the game is just amazing with out DLC! If you don't have the "game changing" DLC, you can still play levels that use it. So if you are not much of a creator, and just want to play levels, DLC would probably be of no use to you anyway.

Also, you can get a LOT out of $30 in LBP. That's enough to afford all the major DLC, not to mention one major DLC pack is free. And you'll still have enough for a few costumes or stickers. Also, the game itself should be cheap now, especially with the sequel coming out, which will pretty much make the first one obselete, and that will be really cheap as a result.

Also, if you live in America, you can get the GOTY edition of LBP1, which has free DLC that is otherwise paid for.
LBP2 is also getting a collector's edition, which has free, new DLC, aswell as other goodies(such as a Sackboy plushie!:3)

Don't think I'll be getting either, because I don't have a PSN account, don't need one, but I want to make levels. And I'll probably end up spending quite some money on it if I do get either, which can't be done cause I wanna waste it all for some epic 3D gaming!

Then, maybe try Minecraft. I hear that's great.

They blew up, they dodged helicopters, they killed several people, they got on a boat, they fell off a waterfall, they nearly got killed......BUT THEY SURVIVED!!!

AND THEY KILLED SHEPARD!

Also must I mention the other General Shepard?

He was killed by the Collectors, BUT HE SURVIVED! Then he had to assemble a team to destroy the forces of evil. He went through the Omega 4 relay where nobody ever returned from, on a suicide mission that nobody expected he would remain alive. BUT HE SURVIVED AGAIN!

Or he would die if you made a stupid decision that got him killed....
